I remember McDonagh starting to throw it out as part of what felt like the fad of the day in the early 1980s.

Distribution from the goalkeeper seems to be a recurring issue through the years. Jussi's kicking left a lot to be desired, Bogdan's isn't great and I noticed yesterday (again) that Lonergan's left footedness makes him very predictable.

Both offer us creativity but neither look fit enough for 90 mins at the moment so he may well interchange them regularly?

I thought Danns was just coming over to the left, but he did definitely run towards the bench

Maybe Danns was just taking instructions. I must say Danns fitness is fantastic he's running stronger in the last 10 than the first 10.

We can all have dreams and dont get me wrong I dream of making the playoffs. I just think talk of the playoffs at this stage is a bit fanciful. I just think we should be building for a more sustained push for next season this team isnt ready.

Life's great when you have a positive attitude, it really is. More people should try it. If we don't reach the play offs, at least, I'll be dissapointed but then I'll look forward to next season and a serious promotion challenge. It won't come to that though. Don't book any holidays in May.

We've all seen the kind of service Beckford needs. He's the type of striker that thrives in the grey area between offside and onside and needs the ball on the floor. At last our midfield has also begun to work that out!

It's coming together, slowly, & not convincing or pretty, with a tad of nervousness & frustration at times.

 

Definitely the right direction though, have faith & get behind them.

 

After a bit of a break, a bit more time to work on things on the training field, we go into 2 fairly tough aways.

 

I'm feeling much more confidence now that we'll challenge in these matches & could get some points. Couldn't say that last month when travel arrangements were made. A lot happier now though, never doubted it, we'll get there, who was betting against it? I'll take some of that action if the books still open
