Just read a novel called "The Martian" by Andy Weir. Someone on here mentioned it a few months back. Cracking read and I can't wait for the film release this November. Believe Matt Damon is playing the lead role.

Astronaut gets stranded on Mars by his shipmates who think he got killed in a sandstorm. Its a survival story there on in. Just looked at the rest of the cast for the film, some cracking actors and Ridley Scott is directing. Comes out in Oct now.

Excited for this. Good casting. Wondered how they'd get it across in a film, but have high hopes.

Closer still - but the spacecraft has gone into "fucked" mode apparently, so they're trying to  fettle it with just a few days left. Bit of a pisser if that's that after a 10 year flight!
