March 20, 201511 yr Tried looking at it, while driving to work and ended up blinking crescent suns for about 5 mins. When I looked again, I could see it clear as anything. Cloudy when I got to work though, which is a shame.
March 20, 201511 yr I did see it (very) briefly twice when the cloud cleared, glances with the naked eye and including a glimpse of the 'smiley' phase when it was covered at the maximum... Underwhelmed though, especially as I didn't have a viewer (as didn't the divvys stood in their house windows I passed, using all manner of improvised 'viewers', including a steel salad bowl, all of them looking puzzled/disappointed and shifting glances back and forth from the telly to their 'viewers')... I only thought of looking at it through the screen of my mobile in camera mode when it had covered up in cloud again. Three lads were wagging it to watch nearby, passing an idiot whistle e-cig between them... Some kids and teachers were taking what could loosely be described as 'games' on the playing fields below, completely unaware or unarsed to celestial events above - shit teaching imo. A full one must be sommat to behold but a partial one, well it's a bit meh, still, it pissed on the let down of 1999. Edited March 20, 201511 yr by Youri McAnespie
March 20, 201511 yr We call it acieed. It was a steel bowl - of the mixing kind, I used 'salad' bowl to give an idea of size to the layman... March 20, 201511 yr It went very gloomy up in the Lake District for about 20 minutes and some nearby sheep appeared very unsettled. No idea if any of that was eclipse related.

March 20, 201511 yr i'm 54 and that was the first time i've seen an eclipse. was good to see, but can see why people are underwhelmed. i enjoyed it as i view stuff like this as the last and only time i'll ever see it?
