It would be nice to give him that chance to build his own team complete. Its a sad state of affairs that folk would consider chopping him now. Plenty of reason for frustration etc. But who comes through the door next worries me greatly if so.

I have to admit I left the Reebok with 5 minutes of normal time to play as it looked like there was no chance of us scoring. It was a poor performance and although we did have a small number of goal scoring opportunities we were hardly convincing and lacked passion. My concern is growing about DF and with 1 win at home all season I think the board should be concerned as well.

no, he hasn't

and, we haven't got as many points as anybody would like but i don't get this obsession with where we get the ones we've got

home points, away pouints

do you get extra credit for home wins

fwiw, i'd take draw at home and win away, nae bother

Aye, because that's what's been happening all season isn't it. If it had fair enough.

It is his frigging team.

It is his frigging team.

Only in so far as he's inherited a load of overpaid shithouses and not had the budget to bring in any quality players himself. I'd like to see what happens once Eagles, Chungy, Ngog, Wheater and the rest of the deadwood are gone.

The way I take comfort is looking at the rest of the league.

Everybody has little purple patches and everybody has little bad patches...it's just the way this division is.

Blackpool were flying high a month ago,now they are getting beat at yeovil.

Same for Burnely,Derby and plenty others.

It's a Marathon not a sprint.

None of which started the game last night.

Aye, but it still restricts which players we can bring in, which is why we are scrapping the bottom of the barrel bringing in people from other team's reserves.

But it's difficult to win if you're a mile behind the leaders.

Dougie's tactics at home have now been sussed by most of this league.

Don't play a high line of give them any space to get behind you or hit you on the break.

The one up front Beckford can't hold the ball or head it so you will win most of the 2nd balls.

Rely on the crowd getting frustrated and hit them on the break.

Away from home teams need to attack us more, so that's why we play better away.

That's it really.

Which speaks volumes of his managerial ability

If he can't get premiership players to perform, that another tick in the 'feck him off' column.

I dread to think how many managers we'd go through with you in charge.

If you class that lot as Premiership players then I'll leave it there.

We'd still have the experienced bloke I'd have appointed instead of Freedman.

We've been down this route before, giving blokes their first opportunities in management.

Look where that ended.

I'd say palace gave him his first experience. JSL

It will be the same, if not worse next season. Weve spunked away the two big parachuted payments and the only way is down!

Just because they've played in the Premiership, it doesn't mean they are Premiership standard players  -  not one of those players would get in a PL side. Granted, I think that DF should be doing better with what he's got, but when I look at our squad, I only see a mid-table team/squad, I don't see a group of players that should be pushing for promotion

Djimi Traore has a Champions League Winners medal.

Oh yeah, I know that. But surely we should still be top of the league anyway?

Not necessarily take Burnley and Blackpool as examples of what can be achieved on a budget and after the big parachute payments expire.

We can't keep giving him that excuse

His job was to get the best out of those players too

Should he stay, or should he go.  I really couldn't give a shit.

He's negative and boring and no doubt the next will be.

Sack the lot of 'em and give the job to Phillips.  In his brief spells in charge, we've played positive football.

The best years watching Bolton have been in the early to mid nineties.  A team full of nobodies who played football as a team, with passion.

Booo fucking moan.

Alot blame individual players. Its 90% his tactics. Hes setting them up negative as fuck and its cost us points all season. We will go nowhere fast with this inferiority complex he gives the squad. It makes me piss when smart arses on here claim his tactics are right after a couple of wins. Its cost us more points. Being able to see the bigger picture doesn't make you negative or a whinger. We all want progression and better football if possible. We do have the players, hes not playing them right. Spearing and medo do the same job! Not only that they don't cross the half way line a support the stikers. We sit in and allow the opposition position and don't commit men forward when weve got it. Thats Freedman not the players. Some daft twat on here was blaming Ngog for last night! He only played 25 mins! And our centre halves are just desperately hoofing aimless balls up front. Again Freedman not Ngog or Beckford. We need to look at the bigger picture ie bad tactics. Thats the main issue! I wish people would stop sniping at individuals. Im sick of the whining negativity from those fans. Hopefully Dougie will realise this and some of our fucktard fans.

And I must mention the disinterest in more than half the players last night I think he might have lost the dressing room.

That wasn't you at half-time, Mounts, was it ?   Someone shouted at the players coming off, something like : "Well I won't care a sh*t if you lot don't .... "
