Steinsson absolutely loves BWFC

He told my mate that he supported BWFC for years before joining

No I know they all say stuff like that, but he is walking the walk and has been at a lot of games. Not all though as I believe he's also scouting. Can't remember who for like.

Makes sense, I suppose. We've had a fair few Icelandic players over the years so I imagine we have a bit of an Icelandic fanbase

Always liked Steinsson. Not the most talented but his attitude was bang on

I got talking to him at a do a few weeks ago, he lives near Kirkman with a local lass and is BWFC daft. He is acting as an agent for Icelandic players and keeps in touch with Gudni.

He finished as his knee gave up on him and he told me he wasn't fully fit for the last 6 months with us, he isn't a big fan of Coyle either and confirmed that he never bothered with 75% of the stuff at Euxton training ground.

Genuine good guy.

He once saw a kid on middlebrook wearing a replica steinson shirt. He went over to Jd, bought a pair of boots, signed em and gave them to the lad

Chuck Norris ex player alert !!!

Genuine good guy.

The bad knee may explain his poor form at the end of his Bolton career.

At the height of Megsons reign Megson told all the players there was no need for any players to go to the open/funday pre-season only 1 player turned up and that was Steinson, he was genuinely gutted no other player turned out, he rang Kevin Davies and persuaded him to turn up, top man for me, it was sad how quickly he lost form at the end of his Bolton career, his performance at Blackpool was unbeliveably bad, in fact I cannot remember too many worse performances from a Bolton player over the last 20 years.

Unlike Dougie who had the whole first team turn out at the junior whites Chrissy do.

He's fucking ace! I used to see him on the Middlebrook a fair bit when I worked local. He's dead friendly if you smile and say hello to him. I once asked him if it was true he bought a house so he could see the stadium from his bedroom window. He said no, but it was a walkable commute which was good enough for him

Legend, top bloke and looks like filth!

Edited by no balls

I know what Garrp is saying about having his wages comandeered, but playing for about £200 for a tinpot team, surely you wouldn't be arsed tipping half that up - each to their own I suppose.

As for his ex, she's alreet :) but, for me there's only one of 'our' (term used loosely) player's missus that I'd (eventually) donate salt for...

They could throw away the key if I could have one go on that thing

did the women turn him inside out before he took their legs from under them earning him a red card as usual??

Nope I was telling klasnic to call Dr Sam Beckett after he had his probems. He was top too but looked bored after a bit.

GS clocked we were wanderers and was brilliant, seemed genuinely pleased to have a chat.

Yes the mystery of the night was Wheater having 4 delightful ladies swarming all over him

Women swarming around millionaires;whatever next?

Nice guy, poor right- back

Top bloke.  At couple of years ago, at the PotY awards, he was given some sort of award for the amount of community work he did for BWFC.

He said something along the lines of he only does it because he lives so close to the ground and he's nothing better to do.  He was very humble.

Sort of, but it came across a bit better than that.

It was more of "Living so close, I've no reason not to, this is also my community."

not the best but plenty good enough

i do think he made it difficult for coyle to pick him towards the end

Did he not also set up one up & score one that day?
