Just got back home.

Glad internet isn't functioning on my phone because I've calmed down a bit after a night's sleep.

I get gallows humour, but fuck me I stood on the back row during the second half watching people in front of me coming out with:

"We're by far the shittest team the world has ever seen"

"We're all going on a League 1 tour"

"e-I-e-I-e-I-o, down the football league we go"

"who's shit? Dougie's/we're shit"

"you must be shit, you've only scored one/two..."

Getting on White's back on debut

Booing Lee

and then the very same people, after Spearing's goal, giving it "white army" and "Bolton till I die". Im forgetting what supporting a team is meant to be about.

Meanwhile, what happened with your hotel rooms Tomski? Only just twigged after reading back over these posts, was walking out of that Travelodge mid afternoon and there was a girl with purple (I think) hair kicking off on her phone about being moved to a hotel in Fulham!

I also heard this.

To be fair the lad the front (about 35-40 of age) was doing exactly the same at Reading and calling for Freedman out from the beginning.

The lads at the back i know and are anti-dougie so again they aren't fickle.

Didn't see you down their pal. Yeah she was with us. Basically said there was a h+s issue and we needed moving to Fulham. No idea why I soon got over it and went for a pint.

Agree on the songs mate. Very defeatist

I can accept all the rest, bit this is why we can't throw a load of kids in; because many of our supporters are fucking pricks.

I didn't hear anybody getting on White's back to be fair - (a lot of support) from were i was but fair play.

Just does my head in, first half everyone was getting behind the team, then a goal goes in and it all changes straight away its almost like people can't wait for it to all go tits up.

To be fair Tomski, that hotel was a bit of a health and safety nightmare - the lift was a proper death trap and the room felt like the kind of place they find z-list celebrities tied up naked and dead in the wardrobe! Was cheap at least, but spent far too long on the underground the last two days it was miles out.

Aye it was in the middle of no where near anything??? But as you say for £26 notes you pay for what you get ha ha. Fulham boozing was very nice as well. Oh well we all survived ha

best part of 2 years in a shit difficult job at palace

i'm happy enough with that

interestingly, the beginning of his second full season saw his best results

not quite, though I think we've been here before, but for clarity:

2012/13

He left after 12 games - at which time they were 4th - w 6, d 3, l 3 - points 21

holloway went on to take them up

2011/12

after 12 games they were 5th - w 6, d 2, l 4 - points 20

end of season, they were 17th

carry on

The positive from last night for me was Craig Davies I like him he's a handful carries the fight to the opposition something we have not had since SKD was in his pomp should improve with games and could be the catalyst for a revival. Dougie drop him at your peril because I will stalk you down at Euxton for a verbal bollocking.

So which was his second full season?

I must be missing something

Those at the game seemed more impressed with the new fella mind

aye, his first and second full seasons started pretty much the same, 1 point difference

it's been said before by many inc. yourself that, for whatever it's worth, one of his plus points is that he had palace in the play offs and doing well when he left them for us

but it was no different than the season before, when they finished 17th

game for game, comparing his 1st and 2nd seasons to the point he left, they were pretty much identical

so when you say "interestingly, the beginning of his second full season saw his best results", it's not quite the case

just don't want you to get your hopes up, that's all

I'm glad he had a better game last night, he's not had enough chances and maybe with a run of games he'd show more than he has up to now.  He could only improve on Saturday, thought he looked really rusty. Big disappointment with him up to now is how poor he is in the air, certaiinly a long way short of SKD in that department

That's fair enough they were there while I watch on the lap top, mind you I'm looking for a player who will scrap and fight for his and our life and not someone who is necessarily technically excellent, C.D. For will do that he's got good upper body strength and a battling attitude and if he keeps that up from now till the end of the season that will do for me.

Not fer me

He needs to score, set some up, or we should fuck him off

No doubting CD's work rate and he at least makes himself a handful, but he carries bugger all goal threat. There again, there aren't many chances being created for him.

He nearly broke the fcuking goals didn't he?

Carry on yourself :)

Didn't he score 4 at Brum last season? I think he's a late developer and I think we will be sorry if we get rid he's not had a sniff with fitness issues, yet we keep the likes of Moritz who I could mark out of a games that slow.

Moritz is one of our biggest threats this season ok he's. Not quick but at least he has something about him.

Jutkewitc (or however you spell it) is a better version of cravies imo.

Cravies grafts but has bugger all end product.
