Mounts Kipper Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Been a big defender of Dougie in recent weeks, but that was utter dogshit tonight. Time to go. First time I've heard widespread discontent about Dougie but for what it's worth I think we were quite supportive otherwise. Now in O'Neills Shepherds Bush. Let's. Get. Pissed. From what I heard the support was very good and very loud fair play to those who travelled the backing seemed to be excellent at least for most of the night. Quote
Casino Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Think your skewed theory maybe coming into play here to be fair, anybody who starts supping 8 hours before kick off and has a clear view of the game isnt drinking properly Quote
beer_swiller Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Never known a more divided group of fans. I was anti Megson and Coyle until we realised we weren't going any where. Duggie, I wanted to succeed because I liked they way he came across when appointed. I also liked his early philosophy but now that seems to have changed. Whether the circumstances at the club are preventing him from accomplishing his early plans or he's just shite at what he does, make your own mind up. Quote

wiggy Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 4 points off relegation and 2-0 down but the players were strolling around the pitch like it was a training match. Tonight we were dreadful in terms of quality and more worryingly effort. Quote

Tonight we were dreadful in terms of quality and more worryingly effort. It's things like this that give me a little cause for optimism You're saying we were shire and disinterested yet we suffered a narrow defeat to the team second in the league This suggests that even a slight improvement would have us beating top teams away from home. A big improvement would have us winning every game until the end of the season. How's THAT for glass half full? Quote
wiggy Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Loving your optimism. A few of those players need a serous arse kicking. Quote
snowball Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Apparently the anti Freedman chants started earlier than normal. We are getting evermore divided which is not good Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 (edited) The only thing that will save us from relegation is 3-4 really top signings Dawson is one as would have been Mcnaughton but he's not coming now, whatever cash Eddie Davies can throw at this he must do, we are really really deep in shit and staring relegation in the face and please don't give me the bollocks that were not, we definitely are I can smell it a mile off. superkev Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I've gone beyond giving a fuck what division we are in. The prem was nice while it lasted. The championship and div 2 before that. Who cares. I'm not a glory supporter. Quote
only1swanny Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 1 uptop,on his own, we cant score like that, and therefore we cant win.. It didn't work against Cardiff, it hasn't worked at all, all season.. Freedman needs to change his tactics.. Quote

We are shit but surely not as bad as Yeovil, Barnsley, Doncaster, Millwall & Charlton and you can add Blackpool now. Really is a terrible indictment though that that is all we can claim. I can see utter mediocrity rather than relegation but either way it just isn't good enough. Not reaching for pitchfork yet but am very very disappointed and am struggling to see how we can keep blaming these 'high earners'. Surely the manager should be handling it better. Relegation next season with no money and a manager still learning. Quote
wiggy Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 In some ways I don't care what division in either. Some of my best memories watching us are outside the top flight. In fact I can accept players who aren't all that talented. After all that's not their fault. But what I will never tolerate is players who don't give 100%. Too many of our players are picking up their wages safe in the knowledge that they will continue to be paid regardless of what happens to us. Quote

beer_swiller Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I think we have a situation where true loyalty from the owner comes into place. As stated, if he loves the club as we believe he does then a couple of million spent wisely wont do him any harm. It's easy to criticise the manager like some have but Dugies hands are tied behind his back, he must be as pisst of as we are. For a player like Dawson to have such an impact like he did whilst on loan, and is available, plus likes our club then I'd get him. Quote

gonzo Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 When I see us set up with 5 central midfield players across the middle,I can't help but think back to that 'palace minute 18' video. They fucking knew. When the opposition manager puts our team sheet on their dressing room wall and they all see a 5 man midfield of central midfielders, with a cart horse up front...they have won the game already. But on flip side,if that's what it took to stop us getting a hammering then I suppose it shows what a pickle we are actually in. I wish yeovil away was tomorrow and the last game of the season the day after. Quote

snowball Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 On tonight's game, lad who went said Dougie's hand was forced by very bad looking injury to Ream, brought the young lad White on and his subs were about protecting that side but some couldn't see that with 'you don't know what you're doing' chants etc. Quote
ex_midlandwhite Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Absolute wankers not letting a few whites into the ground. Pathetic We got there late. Were you one of the ones they weren't letting in? Barricades they had on roads looked akin to Checkpoint Charlie!!! Quote
RUREADY2ROLL Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Just got back This shit fans first game of the season Enjoyed the evening and just shows what I have been missing The banter was great and we ARE the best fans in the world; was behind a young lady from Suffolk second half who has followed us for ten years and she is only 26; her friends first ever game and I hope she enjoyed it. As for the football we were shocking. We set up to defend although going forward we could have done more damage. Why the fuck does Zat Twat go up for corners when he just stands there and doesn't even attempt to go for the ball; he is a lazy useless cunt. Pity the young kid fucked up for the first goal by doing a Zat and not jumping for the ball. For me it is the tactics and DF/ LL and the other fucker don't have a clue Anyone who believes that this group could turn it round need to see the doctor because its worse than the Roy McFarland era. The good thing we have a good support and tonight was a good turn out - 'how shit must be; its only 2-0'. Anyway I am Bolton until I die and fuck the rest - COYWM , Quote
