BUT!!! fifa are a self sustaining organisation who call themselves the "football family"! for outsiders this implies the whole football world which they say is inclusive of Africa, Asia and South America who have traditionally envied the Euro nations and especially England for their haughtiness and their super profitable league.

 

For insiders this is the unelected Fifa committee run by its leader who cannot be removed. So its as you where no matter how our english press moan.

 

Unless some country like Germany and the USA really take em on its as you were no matter how frustrating.

Spain and Italy never seem too bothered. They understand the odd bribe, its in their culture. Added to that they regularly win the big ones. Let me ask you...... if England had 3 or 4 stars on their shirt would we be arsed?

 

We have to accept that we will never change things from within and to do so without would require the cooperation of the big four or five of: france, germany, italy, holland and spain.

No. There's nothing wrong with FIFA as a concept and a Euro-centric body isn't exactly going to offer balance. What is needed is the removal of the old guard and better scrutiny of their inner workings.
