There was a time when the entire day would be dedicated to this game. Bigger than the league title in its day.

 

Which is the first one you remember watching? Mine was Fulham v West Ham in 1975. Two things i remember from that day. Bobby Moore played his last ever game at Wembley and Fulham's keeper had an absolute 'mare.

 

1976 was a much more memorable...

Went to the semi final at Burnden with two friends we were only early teens and it was a real eye opener with the scoucers going mental after winning 1-0 against united. So that years final was the one that stay in my memory Everton 3 Sheff Wed 2

Was in Dublin the day of the Liverpool Victoria west ham final t'other year.

Paddy scouse fans crowding round any telly they could find, including shop windows.

Way more interest in the La Liga title decider, but I'll watch both, not a final that springs out as a must watch though.
