Traf Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Sorry Traf, I was being facetious :-s can see that gets lost in a sea of negativity though Oh and cheers Gotcha. I thought it was out of character. Quote
captainmed Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Had enough chances to win 5 games. Naive defending cost us. You shouldn't lose a game at 2 up whoever you are playing. Quote
kent_white Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Just watched the highlights. Looking at the positives - we played some lovely football, especially first half. Quote
kent_white Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 You shouldn't lose a game at 2 up whoever you are playing. What if you are an under 12's ladies team and have somehow managed to get a friendly against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu. They are playing their full team but they manage to concede 2 own goals in the first 2 minutes. On 3 minutes you lose your star player, Janice Ostlethwaite a defensive lynchpin and crucial to your back four who have only conceded 35 in the past 4 games - a club record. Coming on in her place is an untried but highly rated 10 year old girl. Plus it's 35 degrees C. What about then? Quote
anewman Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 But its not at the bernabeu or against madrid though is it Quote

kent_white Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 (edited) A draw would be acceptable. What is Ostlethwaite had stayed on? Edited July 17, 2014 by kent_white Quote
jules_darby Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Probably repeating what someone has already put. We draw with Brondby. Liverpool beat by Brondy. School yard rules apply. Better than Liverpool. They finished 2nd in the league last year. Does that make us the No.1 team in the country? No it would make us the 2nd best team Quote
ZiggyStardust Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 What is Ostlethwaite had stayed on? If Janice (1st name terms and all that) had stayed on, nothing less than 10-0 would suffice. After all, we were 2-0 up. Just like Reading were against us at Wembley. Quote

I know the 10 year old in question has a club foot and very bad asthma, but she should still be putting a shift in. Quote
RONNIE PHILLIPS Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Think the trauma of being interviewed by the Operation Yew Tree investigators obviously affected her concentration levels Quote

I pay my imaginary money - I have the right to imaginarily boo Janice's imaginary replacement in this imaginary scenario. How much pocket money is she on a week? The lazy fucking Bitch! Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 (edited) Just watched the Mjallby highlights and think we played some really good stuff going forward could have scored 6. Halls looking sharp hope he continues in that form into the season. Edited July 17, 2014 by Mounts Kipper Quote

Looks like we got the attacking bit right also looked like we zipped the ball about with more purpose and pace and got the ball forward quicker all massive positives in my eyes. Get the right striker in start quickly and I think we can easily achieve the play offs I'm keeping positive. Quote
Traf Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 If we can't beat Johan Mjallby it's time to pack up. he must be mid-40's now. Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Anyone going to Macc? Cricket at OT tonight but doing Hyde v development team tomorrow mates lad big Bolton fan leading line for Hyde. Quote
