Now come on chaps its only a meaningless pre season run about, Super Dougie has it all in hand and will surprise you all come the first game.

I am glad to be one of Super Dougies disciples and so should you all !

Pretty poor some of ours today, don't reckon many will be breaking through this year based on today.

Saw the new kit in the flesh for the first time. It looks good for once.

Did any of them look like they might break into the first team squad this season....Wilkinson ?..Clough ?..Iliev ?

Clough looked class apart first half, very good feet but very slight so may struggle physically. Wilkinson and Leater also looked decent, not great at the back and Hayden White looked very average to me; can't see him pushing on past our other right backs on that showing. Keeper looked very solid too.

Anewman is right in that 2nd half was gash but was on my 5th pint by then so all my opinions after half time are null and void

Bit of finger pointing afterwards from White at the ginger LB.

Think our no 4 was that Quade we got off Palace. Don't hold your breath.....

That left back was awful

Quade was 5 I've not seen the 4 in other games he looked like a triallist, thought we were worse than shocking 2nd half other than Wilkinson who was subbed and looked best player on the pitch and the keeper the rest were really poor.

And what really worries me is the style of play lack of desire, drive and determination I just don't see it from this group of players, they must have it to get where they've got so I will take in a few games against other professional academies to see if that's any better.

Don't judge them as a group

i'v no interest in how they do as a team to be honest.

we just want one or two to make it

Agree with that, for me 2 might have a chance Clough and Wilkinson but not holding my breath.

I agree in the main

However to a point (with exceptions) the better the team do, the more likely it is for players to come through; not just because it should so there are more better "parts" creating a superior sum of them, but success breeds success and confidence.

Any road I don't think anything can be judged solely on yesterday
