KP Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 He has signed in principle but will be official from the 30th so he can play right up until the end of the season. Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 You have day trips to old Trafford fact Cricket maybe. Quote
Big E Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Cricket maybe. I wouldn't expect anything else Quote

He can sign this minute and play till the end of the season. There is only a limit in the emergency loan window. Not in the summer or January windows. Quote

BOWTUN BAKED Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 He can sign this minute and play till the end of the season. There is only a limit in the emergency loan window. Not in the summer or January windows. Short term loans are a minimum of 28 days, maximum of 93. Long term loans are i) full playing season ii) any date prior to 31st August to any date between the 1st & 31st of January, or iii) any date in the January transfer window to the end of the playing season. If they're on a Long term loan, they can't be recalled (except goalkeepers) Short term loans can be recalled after 28 days. I'm guessing his club are only willing to loan him on a Short term loan, leaving them the option to recall if need be, therefore the potential 30th Jan date, sounds feasible. Quote
Biggish Dave Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Never been overly impressed with ALF but then again, I rarely notice opposing players anyway. Given our options in attack - or lack of, any forward signing with any sort of proven record is worth a try. I remember thinking the same about Juke and he turned out ok Quote

This was always my understanding. However, how has Mason then gone back to Cardiff? Can he not play for them now? Quote
Casino Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 thats what the rules say well, its how they read anyway maybe if theyre not recalled but both sides agree an early termination, its different? Quote
Anderson Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 In all likelihood if it's delayed until the 30th, it's to give us a chance to finalise the Chungy deal Quote
Guest Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 The delay is because we can't have more than two loan players from any one club. And we have McNaughton and Mason. Mason's loan ends on 30th of January, hence the delay till then. Nothing to do with length of stay. Quote

Anyhow, it does seem that he cannot sign till Mason is officially finished. Quote
