So yesterday I believe the formation and personnel was wrong. Then I question... Was playing cd up top making a point to 'him above' that we desperately need another striker and quick? Or someone who makes a team better by knitting together the players he has. He's spent two years complaining about the players he's got, and how he needs to get rid of them. Accepting as a given that the team has got worse or at the very best stood still tactically or results-wise, a list of players who have improved under DF would comprise of exactly zero. We've got nobody of any value that he can claim to have polished up to sell on. Not one player who has got remotely stronger or better. A list of players who have got slightly worse would be significant. And the list of players who have had the confidence and quality knocked right out of them to the point where they have ended up as useless, hollow players would be significant too. We have some of them in the side still. The number of young players like Vela, Kellett, Threlkeld, Riley - all of whom have done no worse than the regular players - all seem to be destined for lower divisions in due course. If there was a flicker of improvement you'd be delighted, but there's no direction. Quote
