jules_darby Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 and that would be freedmans fault? if they end up in lower divisions it may well be because thats their level? Course it's not From some quarters he seems to have been credit for those youngsters at Palace that are playing at the top level though, so at least let's have some consistency Quote
Casino Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 fair enough but he did have a spell coaching those young players i think? anyway, i've not been taking much notice are kellett and threlkeld injured? Quote

jagermoot Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 I'd be playing the strongest side I could tonight. Not feeling optimistic Quote
scallywell Posted August 19, 2014 Author Posted August 19, 2014 But what if we win the first 10 game, your point is mutehmmm Quote
scallywell Posted August 19, 2014 Author Posted August 19, 2014 No your right, but what if it's a nightmare start, that's why I ask how long,is it another three another five till Christmas another season, seems a reasonable question Quote

tarian1979 Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 They'll wait until after the window shut so danger of New Mon asking for New players Quote
gonzo Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 I reckon he's one massive reading style spanking from getting the boot. If he avoids that, pulls a rabbit out of the hat before the window shuts, and start picking up points against the crap around us....he might just get till the end of the season. Either way its not going to be pretty. Quote
frank_spencer Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Im one who's supported him but the performances or lack of them are making his position nearly untenable. It's all well and good appreciating the constraints hes working under but the complete lack of any semblance of a plan is making it hard to keep supporting him. Quote
scallywell Posted August 27, 2014 Author Posted August 27, 2014 I said 10 games at the start of this but after reading that baptise article there's something seriously wrong, will Dougie Freeman please leave the house Quote

It's all well and good appreciating the constraints hes working under but the complete lack of any semblance of a plan is making it hard to keep supporting him. Exactly where i'm at Frankie. I've defended him to fellow whites who have been wanting him out, and said he needs time. That time is fast running out. I appreciate the need for stability, but that performance (can i call it that) last night was shambolic. The real sad thing thing was that Lester, Threlkeld and Wilkinson have all got the wherewithal to cut it. But the lack of leadership, encouragement and cohesion within the team last night was there for all to see. We had no leaders on that pitch. No one was talking to the younger (or older) players. Threlkeld had a torrid first twenty as many have mentioned, but fair play to the lad he stuck at it, with little or no verbal support from Mills, Dervite, Trotter or Pratley. Im fucking glad (due to holidays)i wont see them kick a ball live now until Rotherham game. Quote
Guest Blixa Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 I'd have Megson back tomorrow At this level, I might too. But I'd rather have neither. Quote
Traf Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 They'll wait until after the window shut so danger of New Mon asking for New players I thought the same last week and I stand by that. I'd have Megson back tomorrow As would I. It can't get any more miserable / dour on the pitch and we'd at least tighten up at the back. This man is worse than Coyle. Quote
mannyroad58 Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 I really have done my best to stand by this man but as far as i'm concerned he can now pack his little tartan skirt into his little tartan bag and get to fuckery out of here Quote

Either way its not going to be pretty. Im still not over the 7-1 after which I'm sure few other clubs would have kept their manager on. But anyway, I'm at the stage where I feel it may hardly make any difference who we got in before the deadline because of how they might be used on the pitch. Agree with those who said they went into this season with some optimism, not in terms of promotion or even play offs but just a solid, competitive Championship side yet as it stands nothings changed. It's a shame because I like what he says about players, the club, even the fans he talks a good game but as soon as the whistle goes its like a different bloke is in charge who you know will fuck about with personnel, formations, tactics and make daft subs. Very close to the get him out camp now. Sad times. Quote
