The 00/01 Promotion Push.

Left at the starting blocks when Fulham and Watford started blitzing all the opposition, and yet Watford fell apart and the Roovers took over. The inbreds beat us at the Reebok at the latter end of the season and made sure they got up. A tricky first leg at the Hawthorns and a convincing win against WBA in the return game. I always knew they would beat PNE in the final.

I skipped sixth form to go and queue for tickets.

Got on the train at Layton at 6am and when I arrived the queue was already round to ESL.

Glad I had my priorities sorted straight from the off. :-)

more people should show such promise.

the 2nd day of my apprenticeship i finished early to go to yeovil away......BWFC has messed us up hahaha

Bwfc has been great for me. Loves stories like that. Wouldn't change that them for the world.

no they are great.

without bwfc i wouldnt know any of you queers. that thought makes me sad. i even like mr58 the senile old bastard

the west brom semi is the last time i can remember not being able to get tickets for a match

We missed them

Decided to go down on the day and try the home end. The rest of my ticketless mates jibbed it (Matt)

Thought I would go down to the Reebok to see if anyone from the travel club had spare tickets. Just as the last coach was pulling off the car park it stopped, a man had to take his little lad off who had been sick and was taking him home :-)

2 tickets bought, Matt was called up and we both made it to the match!!!

He hasn't thanked me for that ticket to this day, cunt!!!! :-)

I'd just done my AS-levels and was working at weekends at JJB/Squirel pub. I quit because that arrangement stopped me watching Bolton.

Opted to get a job on a building site during the week to fund my hobby.

I didnt turn in for my last day at JJB because I went to Blackburn away instead (1-1 Bo Hansen)

Very enjoyable season that, our home form let us down and getting robbed out of a penalty at watford I won't forget

One of, if not THE first home game under BSA?

We were 3-1 up, of that i'm sure.

IIRC

Got in my head his first game was at home to Crewe. Rodney Jack scored from a million yards. Am I right?

Norwich away???

Just like the famous Branagan save at Wembley 95 the course of our recent history changed in that last 10 minutes at the Hawthorns I believe. Who knows what another season in the then Division 1 would of brought. Cheers Gary Megson :-D

that was the game where tactical genius was disguised as negative damage limitation - took holdsworth off for frandsen as midfield was getting bummed, and then we turned it around

My favourite season. Had left Uni, and had no real job yet; lots of temping, going out and playing mid-week pool as I remember.

Finally could afford to buy my dad a ticket for a match, which was the play-off semi final; still my favourite match.

The play-off final was ace, just didn't think we'd lose. For some reason we brought a load of till receipts with us to lob like streamers; but mine never did so i just get hitting folk with massive plastic till rolls.

Fulham did us a home 2-0 and we were totally outplayed - they had a massive following that day as well.

Got my first real job the day before we beat Leicester in the premiership - saw us beat Liverpool at home and then left for the south the following week.

Happy, innocent days.

Only time Fulham have brought a decent following up to the Reebok, about 1,500 of them.

I watched the beam back of this at the Reebok, there was a load in there as well.

I forgot we were once popular enough to draw a crowd for a beam back. I remember one at the Reebok vs United where we had about 5000 in the west stand. They even opened the south lower for their fans, about 20 of 'em.

Went to beam backs at Burnden for Derby in the cup and DMB in league when we had a reduced allocation.

How many did we get that day at old Trafford??
