Sorry I tried to link to the comments. Hence the ashamed to be British comments.

I am not saying if torture is worthwhile or not, my point was that people get up in arms when it is one way but go quiet when it is the other (applies whichever 'side' you are on)

Cheese was not aware of anyone being annoyed about treatment of terrorists.

So 1 person on the Guardian comments section...

More than one, that is one thread that is closed.

You made out no one was complaining about treatment of terrorists, I have shown they have.

And those people are a problem.... how? Because they comment anonymously on the Guardian website? Can't you just....NOT read the Guardian website?

Argumentative, that is all.

Ani is right, there are a million and one 'splinter' groups who would bleat about the ill treatment or infringement of civil rights of murderous fanatics. Look at the big daddy Amnesty Internationals various outbursts on the subject.

Look closer and you will find plenty of them. Then again, you just want to argue don't you?

No idea what you are on about, that is one example, there was a lot of stories going round a week or so ago and pretty of moral indignation, I made a passing comment and you seem to be determined to have an arguement about it.

I keep quoting facts, you keep talking nonsense.

Well you're basically just providing the opposition that the bed-wetters need. Rather than discussing the issue, it becomes "the lefties love terrorists!" vs "the righties want to hang all brown people!". Nothing comes of it, so I don't understand why you'd take any notice, or see it as an issue. Neither side has any effect, so aren't you just wasting your time?

I made a statement, you said it was wrong, you now seem to be acknowledging it was true.

So yes I agree you are wasting my time.

1 Jap dead, the other holding a photo of the dead bloke. That's fucked up.

I've not got much background on this & am lazy today, so does anyone know what they were doing in Syria?

The one who was killed was running a "security" company, though by all accounts he was woefully underqualified to do so.

The other chap is an experienced war correspondent. To his credit, he had released a video before he travelled to the region, saying that the responsibility to be in the the region was totally his, and if anything happened, he took resposibilty for his demise.

Ta. I suppose as a war correspondent he knew where he was going but there's something very 'ungentlemanly' about the way they kidnap someone like a war correspondent or aid worker.

They have revised their demands from cash to a release of a woman suicide bomber.

Clearly a shit one if she's still alive :D Can we not just cut out the middle man and blow her up?

That was my first thought! Surely she deserves the title potential suicide bomber or summat similar
