December 15, 201411 yr The country needs immigration.. The majority of immigrants are from Asia The majority of those are Muslim The minority are nutters.. If we have to deal with a few nutters to get everyone else that works to make this country a better place.. So be it.
December 15, 201411 yr Why do people think it is necessary to make that point ad nauseam? Outside of a handful of far right knuckle draggers no one thinks the situation is anything other than that. Ad Nauseum? Your dictionary clearly differs to mine. I made a point once.
December 15, 201411 yr Fair enough comment providing this guy went around telling 'moderates' what his plans were.another fair point, you will indeed nevercatch/prevent them all. Perhaps better information (where it safe to do so) about what is being done within communities to stop this might help allay public concerns. Sadly we just seem to be fed a news diet of attrocities and a few community leaders condemning the extremists. Only last week when one was locked up his mother was complaining and that she wouldnt have cooperated with police if she'd known how long he'd get-an attitude that doesnt sit easy with me
December 15, 201411 yr am i missing somet here , he was on bail for 47 sexual assaults ! is this the norm down there ?

December 15, 201411 yr It's a country built by criminals. What do you expect? Were you the one John West rejected?

December 15, 201411 yr Don't get me wrong, I fucking hate religion, particularly Islam. Muslims can fuck off and have their own island as far as I'm concerned, but we don't live in an ideal world. Edited December 15, 201411 yr by Cheese
December 15, 201411 yr Cheese - me too. Confirmed atheist and always will be (no 'seeing the light' for me). You might not see much more light if anewman catches up with you.
December 15, 201411 yr Facts slowly being released here. You have probably heard that he nodded off and the bloke who managed the place tried to disarm him but failed and is dead. He then started shooting women. The 38yo educated lawyer (mother of 3 - what a Christmas for them eh?) got it first, shot dead and there are sketchy reports that 3 or 4 others have been injured with 2 potentially critical. I feel ashamed as my thoughts are with them and their families rather than the innocents who will almost certainly be victims of dirty looks and the odd harsh word.
December 16, 201411 yr Of course but my antagonism comes from the 'first thought'. Mine was instantly with the families of the besieged. Others instantly thought of 'poor' insulted muslims. They and I are from different planets. I do accept that tolerance is a huge part of what we are. I have many friends from all over the world here. The Indians across and two doors away are fantastic people. The Sikh family up on the corner always come over and have a chat when they see us out walking. Lovely dogs (huskies) and very generous in their access to their fruit trees (especially the mulberry one which the missus loves). We have everything here besides Indians - Honkies, Singers, Italians, Portuguese, Spanish and, of course, loads of 'Poms'. We all get together Christmas Eve and have a great street party. Only the Aussies spoil it I still believe that Enoch Powell was right about Islam. It does not mix with western culture and values. The streets are indeed running red with blood, just as he predicted. Can any of you really see an end to this? I can't unless there is a major conflagration which the West will win by virtue of its massively superior technology. They can have all the numbers they want. I'll back the side with the bigger guns. Remember Rorkes Drift.
December 16, 201411 yr Bolty lad - you'll probably be surprised to hear that Enoch Powell's 'Rivers of Blood' speech' doesn't once mention the word 'Islam' or 'Muslim'
December 16, 201411 yr Bolty lad - you'll probably be surprised to hear that Enoch Powell's 'Rivers of Blood' speech' doesn't once mention the word 'Islam' or 'Muslim' Very true But I think there can be little doubt Islam was part of the thinking, like. The irony of the speech being that Powell was so concerned about it he was itching to fuck off abroad. If you want to fight a fight badly enough, you'll stay somewhere near the front line and not tens of thousands of miles away.

December 16, 201411 yr Thinks "Is he having a pop at Enoch or at me?" Decides not to give a fuck Enoch You're getting paranoid with all that sun :-)
December 16, 201411 yr Bolty lad - you'll probably be surprised to hear that Enoch Powell's 'Rivers of Blood' speech' doesn't once mention the word 'Islam' or 'Muslim' No I wouldn't be surprised Michael me boy. The words 'inference' or 'implied' might be appropriate but that is open to interpretation. No real point jousting on this subject with you sir when considering your special circumstances.
December 16, 201411 yr Enoch You're getting paranoid with all that sun :-) Nanu, nanu. Did he say arachnoid?
December 16, 201411 yr Bolty you made a valid and interesting point about "first thought" but then lost it by "dropping the E bomb" in mentioning Enoch Powell.
December 16, 201411 yr Good grief, 84 children killed in an attack on a school in Afghanistan. How can that ever be justified in the name of any god?
December 16, 201411 yr Good grief, 84 children killed in an attack on a school in Afghanistan. How can that ever be justified in the name of any god? More than 100 people killed in Taliban attack on school in north-west Pakistan, 84 of them children, officials say The militants say they targeted the school because the army targets their families and they "want them to feel our pain".
