Doubt it, they've got some cracking players, be interesting to see who they appoint as new manager.

Change of structure by the looks of it with a ‘sporting director’ coming in which is very similar to the system at Brentford if memory serves me right. Does strike me as a realisation that they need a Plan B to spunking money up the wall if they don’t go up. 

Brentford can replicate their style with a different coach easy enough.

It's a stat-based playing by numbers approach.

I would absolutely love it if villa disappeared down the league system like Leeds - Forest etc did.

If it was mentioned in the interview process I can't see Smith having an issue with it. 

Brentford set up light years ahead of villas. Deserves his chance but saw he has never finished higher than 9th. I don't like villa

Cameron said he was a Vllla fan, then a West Ham fan, must be the claret and blue shirt's what confused him.

I remember liking these cunts as a nipper (7-8 yrs ish) due to liking the name and kit. Same reasons I liked Crystal Palace and Port Vale (who I presumed were Welsh).

Plus remember being a bit older and actually watching that 1980? side that won the European cup, they were seriously good but short lived.

Felt like we'd never compete with the likes of them at the time, turned out I was very wrong.

 

A load of Villa came on the Lever End in 73, got knocked all over the shop and chased up the road after the game, decent crowd of over 19.000 on.
