gonzo Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Whats the big load of writing on the West Ham shirts?? Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 (edited) Jussi has been fucking unbelievable tonight. World class. Just shows how under motivated he was when Coyle was here because he was very average in the last 18 months. Edited February 25, 2013 by Mounts Kipper Quote
gonzo Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Bale is the best player in this league by a country mile, every time I see him, he's having a blinder. Not half mate. Quote
Con Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Whats the big load of writing on the West Ham shirts?? Bobby Moore 20yrs stuff Quote
GeorgeOghani'sIroningBoard Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Shocking lack of courage on the second goal, he never was one to take a boot in the face. Game changing moment of confidence sapping. 20 saves and 1 howler, just like when he was here. Quote
Carlos Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Bobby Moore who wasn't allowed into the ground, now they've named a stand after? Quote
Zico Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 (edited) Bobby Moore 20yrs stuff Really? They kept that one quiet, the commentators never said anything about bobby Moore So who's paying £40m for bale? Always thought he'd end up at utd, reckon he'll stay if they get in the CL? Great performance overall by jussi though perhaps could've done better on the first, def should've had the 2nd Edited February 25, 2013 by ZicoKelly Quote
DazBob Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Bale will cost far more than United will be prepared to spend. Real Madrid or PSG I reckon. Quote
Alf Hartigan Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 He's easily worth forking out 40 mill for one of the big boys. I'd like to see him stay at Spurs, think they might challenge for the title soon. Quote
Zico Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Bale will cost far more than United will be prepared to spend. Real Madrid or PSG I reckon. Hes too good to bother with PSG at the moment, better off staying at spurs, but aye, maybe Madrid if not utd Quote
DazBob Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Hes too good to bother with PSG at the moment, better off staying at spurs, but aye, maybe Madrid if not utd I agree, but it depends what's most important to him, money or playing in a competitive league. Personally I'd like to see him remain at Spurs, but would Spurs be able to turn down £40m-£50m in the summer and would he turn down the chance of trebling his wages? If, and I reckon they will, Real Madrid come calling then the prospect of him and CR7 in the same side is a frightening one. Quote
jules_darby Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 I'd like to see Spurs challenging for the title next year If they have ambitions of that they must surely keep Bale Quote
Guest Frandsen08 Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 I'd like to see Spurs challenging for the title next year If they have ambitions of that they must surely keep Bale they need to buy a striker because adebayor is abysmal Quote
DazBob Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Aren't Spurs infamously low payers? (or have I made that up) I'm not sure how any club that won't pay huge wages will be able to a.) attract the world's best players and/or b.) keep the players they have who turn into the world's best players. Whilst Spurs' business model is admirable, it's not going to push them from where they are now to be a club that are genuine title contenders. They're only currently above Chelsea because Chelsea are having a poor season. Quote
bwfc87 Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 I think you're right Daz. I'm sure I've heard before that Levy has a salary cap Quote

Carlos Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Having seen the Bale goal now, West Ham defended exactly how we used to do, sit on the 18 yard line and invite shots as they are unlikely to go in (statistically). You'd think they'd adapt when faced with someone who can put them in, regularly. Quote

Pablo Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 (edited) I hope Bale goes to United, would push them on, to push Barca. Edited February 26, 2013 by Pablo Quote
Carlos Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Twitcher was in charge, I doubt very much if they pay low wages. Quote

It's two years since the declining Finn was beaten from that range at the Reebok.Bobby Moore and Nat Lofthouse tribute nights, Jussi beaten from long range.Al Habsi kept a clean sheet against mighty Spurs and Bale this season btw, Quote
