I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

I do like that voulevouz song some clubs are singing.

Heard Blackpool doing it first. Liverpool today.

Also what's that United song that sounds like what the Argies sing?

I know we're not anywhere near the quality of Liverpool but watching them attack it reminds me of us in so many games. Loads of possession but not getting the shots off.

Liverpool had 28 shots, the most Man U have faced at OT in last 20 years.

It sounds like Liverpool are the total opposite of us 😀

That's roughly 3 times their average home attendances, like us taking over 50k.

Joe Kinnear passed away.

Headed up Wimbledon's hey-day in the prem.

Not bad turn-outs taking account population of each town

Am I missing something? TV pundits and plenty of others agree with O'Neil. It's interference. Offside no argument.

Must admit, I didn't agree with the pundits.

No surprise to hear strikers moaning!

Dublin said the keeper should move so he can see the ball- in which case why not put 3 or 4 in an offside position until the keeper moves out of his goal.

Keeper wouldn't have got there, but it's not the point.

Remember Doyle being a couple of yards to the side of the keeper and not in his eyeline, but us still having a goal chalked off (Burton maybe)- now that was a bad decision.

Clearly offside.

Pundits chat absolute tripe with that much confidence they'll have you doubting what you see

Agreed. It was like the three of them had decided to attack this one, irrespective of the facts. O'Neill wrong too on this occasion.

I'm a huge critic of VAR & despair at wrong decisions being made despite of it. ... not to mention taking an age.

But this one was clearly offside & interfering with play.

Bristol had sod all to play for yesterday but still made it difficult. Derby won't get an easy ride

Players playing for contracts now. Managers fighting for an extension. As big an incentive as any at this level.

Fans at the old firm game have been reported under new hate crime laws following chants.

Tit for tat complaints incoming.

Police will be shaking their heads.

I was under the impression that Celtic didn’t get any tickets allocated for this one.

They didn't.

Will be the viewing public making the complaints. Remember you can now report a private conversation from within a home.

Hence my thinking there will be a tit-for-tat repetition when they next play.

Turns out there will be both sets of fans in next time, so they can lodge complaints, whilst being complained about.

Will be dismissed.

Police are more concerned about the missiles being chucked at the Celtic staff in the dugout. Hopefully they find those responsible and get em banned.

Cracker of an old firm game that. Some title race we're on for as well. Could be difficult for Rangers away to Dundee on their shite pitch midweek.

How long will it take to investigate them all?

Police Scotland promise remember.

Apparently, total number of complaints around 10,000 now, in just a few days.

A KC from north of the border explaining that the new laws are actually just an extension of current ones, but are incredibly complicated and will be difficult to use let alone succeed.

Bad, pointless law.

Probably a law to add gravitas to other broken rules. Something to be added to a charge to ensure something sticks.

Aye. A messy & nuanced law. Might not be with time, especially when the police have all been trained. See what the crack is when it's all calmed down & if any are held to account for genuine hate crime. If it's still a massive waste of time and confusing then it should be scrapped.

Alot of unneccessary drama, screaching and misinformation around it though. In regards to JK Rowling, comedians and now the Old Firm game. All of which have turned out to be nonsense.

Looks like there wasn't a spike after the game as they suspected. Doesn't seem like it has been any hassle for the cops, and cerainly not anywhere near the scale of reporting people were suggesting .
Spike in hate crime reports at Rangers-Celtic 'did not materialise', officer says - Yahoo Sport

It'll be catching those throwing the missiles that they focus on. Football violence will be a bigger waste of police time and resources than this new law.

Anyway. This is for another thread. There are some incredbily tight title and promotion races on the cards across the leagues this season. Going to be an exciting month of football ahead.

Maybe if everyone followed my lead by being nice to everyone else then we wouldn't need these rules.

Still tickets available in the away end for Blackpool Fleetwood tomorrow.
