Marc505 Posted October 26 Posted October 26 Did a couple of La Liga games other week, no alcohol allowed at all in the stadium... so you can keep your 28 passing move goals, and fuck off 😀 Quote

Didledee Posted October 26 Posted October 26 (edited) Fliki Flaka and the high line makes for great games and will cost Barca points in some games, 1st half Madrid had their moments, but 2nd half even with Mbappe's misses, Barca destroyed them, 4-0 and Lewa missed two sitters also. It's all good watching different leagues on telly, I want to try to go and watch them in person and feel the atmospheres. Villarreal was basically people wearing Barcelona shirts in the home end cheering goals for both teams 😀 Quote

Valencia are at Real Madrid, so that'll probably be watched in a bar. Villareal are at home to Athletic Bilbao, and Levante are at home to Racing Santander, who are currently top of La Liga 2...... Did you travel from Valencia to Villareal? Did Barcelona v Valencia at Camp Nou in 2010. Barca won 2-1, and I missed two of the goals 😁 Quote

So the 35 euro tickets we got for our game (expensive enough for what it was) were over 250 when they played Barcelona. Stayed in Valencia through, to get to vila-real it was a 90 minute train then a 30 minute walk to the stadium and back again so ends up being pretty late if it's a night game. There's absolutely fuck all happening in vila-real as well, it's a one horse town that's ended up having a successful team there. Great city Valencia though really interesting place. Quote
Members bolty58 Posted October 26 Members Posted October 26 Madrid will be hurting after that drubbing. Surprising how many drubbings there have been in that fixture over the years. As usual, drawn to Portugal and the Netherlands as far as watching is concerned. PSV win so easily in the Eredivisie but do little in Europe. Their home league must be really shite (confirmed when you see the likes of Waalwijk and Almere City). Sporting just too good in Portugal. Pressure on for the other big two to win tonight and tomorrow now. I know it's a stuck record job but that mon Gyokeres is a beast. Quote
Eddie Posted October 27 Posted October 27 Noticed this morning that Pep has publicly praised one of his disciples "It's a good game to learn as a manager. I am going to learn a lot with Russell because they did really well. They played really good. They didn't create many chances but it was an incredible effort to get the ball from us. "The build-up is exceptional. They open the channels. They link well with the striker and every moment makes sense. I knew after what people had said to me about Russell [Martin] and we tasted it today” This is what it’s all about. They’re bottom of the league with 1 point, lost again, but I can only imagine his delight that the main man in football has put his praise into the public domain - shit for Southampton currently, his ‘philosophy’ is clearly wrong for the current situation (see Burnley last year) but his chances for his next job are all the better. The sooner Pep moves into international football or something, the better. Quote
