Working in Liverpool Monday/Tuesday at a congress so had to stay at a hotel Sunday night

Sat in the bar Sunday night and it filled up about 8pm after the Liverpool/Chelsea game. Fuck me the place was covered in half and half scarfs an hour later. Laid out over the seats. Tourists having jolly banter with each other. Motherwell supporter that I was with who despises the Glasgow shite that he sees was even surprised. Depressing

Highlights of the night for me.

Vini Junior - fucking hell, no wonder the fans were chanting 'Ballon D'Or'. What a fucking player he is.

Gyokeres. What a goal and what a 'traditional' centre forward. Be at a club much bigger than SCP soon.

Unai Emery. Genius. Silverware will arrive at Villa Park, mark my words. Remember though that I know fuck all about football so don't be placing any bets on this. Love the man as a manager. A proper leader commanding huge respect from players, fans a pundits alike. Villa should be tying him up on the longest contract possible because when Ancelotti gets bored of winning everything in Madrid and fucks off to manage the Brazilian national team, the Galactico's will be sniffing around Emery for sure.

Chris Wood has a touch of the Kevin Davies about him. Perennially underrated by everyone except them that he plays for.

Without checking he's probably got a slightly better goals to game than SKD but both top players in their respective outfits

Steve Cooper can't have long left there.

I shake my head every time I hear his interviews. A Premier League manager. Never.

Was talking to a forest fan mate of mine yesterday before the game. Loved Cooper and was upset he was sacked. Now concludes staying up in the prem is his ceiling.

Fair play to forest. I like any team with wingers who run at players and are a little bit more direct. Hudson Odoi was at it all game
