Gonzo has an eye on history and the last time Brazil hosted the World Cup. Possibly not a bad strategy - history often repeats.

 

I wouldn't say the Argies are dead certs but they have an undeniably huge chance. Messi's chance to cement his greatness?

 

My mind is also on history and Brazils desire to right what they saw as a massive wrong in 1950. This has me favouring them if they can cope with the massive expectations of the local populace.

Football has moved on a helluva lot since South America last hosted a World Cup so I don't buy into this bollocks about geography being a deciding factor as to who can/can't win it.

 

There's absolutely no reason why a Spain or a Germany can't win it.
