HomerJay Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 And for the record, barca weren't just a good team because of the possession football. They were actually a good team. Quote
Didledee Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 I'd love to see Atletico play anti-football tomorrow, score early and park 5 massive buses infront of Courtois' net. Lampard slips and Costa scores a 1 on 1 and Simeone is a mastician. Quote
Didledee Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 When you say "some nobber" is it not always the same "nobber" ? add to the the discussion rather than stir? Quote

Didledee Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 What's anti football? I was using it because Stevie did, my vision of anti-football is closer to the post you quoted than Stevies vision of possession football being anti-football. I'd say anti-football is close to what you liked with Megson, McCann and Cohen. Quote
Didledee Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 CR7 goes Ronaldinho style!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TA45VcsRqrA Of course others have done it, I just used it a bit like in the way when Rooney scored v West Ham and it was Beckham style/esque Quote
Carlos Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 What's anti football? Auntie Football, married to Uncle Football. Quote
Didledee Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Auntie Football, married to Uncle Football. and they had rabbit food on their wedding cake. Quote

Didledee Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 I'd not take this 2 legged tie in a way to write Bayern off from now on, Bayern smashed Barca last season over two legs, Real have just done that to Bayern, Barca beat Madrid twice in La Liga and Madrid beat Barca in the Cup final. Chelsea beat Liverpool and City away and manage to beat PSG at home but lose to teams like Palace, Villa and Sunderland, Atletico have lost to Real this season, but look to be on their way to winning La LIga. Different results happen all the time, people will say Bayern are now on the slide, they won't be, there's just no team who are unbeatable about, same goes with Spain since Brazil beat them 3-0 to win the Confederations Cup, but they'll still be the team to beat at the WC. Zico Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 There is a consensus though that guadiola is trying to hard with bayern and taken away from them what made them so devastating last season, ie a fast paced direct approach, and Beckenbauer for one doesn't like it It worked well at Barcelona no doubt, but it doesn't suit bayern and theres no need for it Will have to wait till next seasons CL knock out stage to see if its a one off or if he can try something else because you wouldn't notice in the Bundedliga as they'll piss it anyway Quote
L/H White Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 FCUM in extra time in their play-off semi. Beaten 1-2 Quote

zurichwhite Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 I see Tranmere are on the brink of relegation, together with Brum, nice end to the season Quote

The teams to beat will be Brazil and Argentina. Between those two, I have just named the winner. Quote
