Blackburn 1 Wanderers 0

If we'd gone into that game last night not caring - we've have lost 5-0. Have a look at the teamsheet and it's an assortment of emergency signings and loan players cobbled together.

Starting with Heskey and 3 short term emergency loans shows how short of fit bodies we are.

Janko looked knackered to me but I dunno

Vela was poor and I'm his biggest advocate

What's all the criticism of vela about? Thought he did ok. Certainly no worse than anyone else. Feeney had to be the most frustrating player on the pitch, works hard but his crossing was shite.

I'd have preferred to see Bannan on the left and feeney on the right last night given that Coke was playing and had Janko as the man to miss out

im amazed we've got all these injuries

all you need to do is keep playing the same players every week and have 2 x 20 goal a season strikers and you walk the league

Was it only me who wasnt arsed about this game? Checked live score a few times. That was my involvement

Worryingly I was exactly the same. Local derby, just did other things.

I can understand what supporting Everton must be like now.

Hate losing any derby. Hate losing against Blackburn. I guess this is payback for the late winner Eagles got two seasons ago. We've still got the better of the cunts over the last five seasons.

... hopefully they'll make up for it at Wigan and at home to Blackpool.

F.YI in 4 of the last 10 seasons 47 points would not have kept you in the championship, however this year I expect 45 will do just about.

TBF Calamarikav there was about 60 young uns who I strolled with through Blackburn town centre before the game, not a dingle in sight.

What's the point mate? They don't give a fuck so why should we?

But they do give a fuck - at the end of the game last night the players looked more devastated than the fans

I don't think Vela had that bad of a game. Ben Marshall and Craig Conway are decent wingers at this level and both were quiet.

Do agree that Danns and Coke are too similar though.

I was impressed with McCarthy. Thought ALF looked lively too. Apart from that everyone else was a bit meh.

From what I've seen of Amos so far, I'd be happy enough to see him as our #1 next season, assuming he'd be being paid less than both Bogdan and Lonergan.

Bargain at 10k and think he could command a decent fee further down the like, what was Janko on he's one for the future in my eyes I'd have him in as well.

Think Janko is on a free at the end of the season.

Also I think that Craig Davies and Adam Le Fondre could form a great partnership although I think Clough is at his best playing behind the striker, so we would have to figure out a way to accommodate all three.

He may be a bargain at 10k a week. But we won't be paying that, im sure. He would have to half his wage in my opinion. Depends what he wants to do with his career.

hurrah, the lads got it

our playing wage bill probs needs to be about 4/5 million

18 players??

do the math as the kids say

I imagine we will have a couple on figures like that next season, but I wouldn't have thouhgt a keeper

i agree

3 or 4 at most on 'good money'

ones wheater

ones mark davies

spearing still has a deal as does baptiste

Lonergan will be our No 1 next year. Wouldn't be surprised to see Boggers playing 2nd fiddle at a Prem club and biding his time. Our reserve keeper will probably be a journeyman along the lines of Paddy Kenny.

I reckon we'll sign Ben Amos on a free and he'll be our number 1. Bogdan will probably go to a club in Germany and Lonergan will be mainly used as backup, providing he signs a new deal.

If were going to be paying circa 5k per week for players there is only one place were going to end up and that's down and sooner rather than later, not arguing with the 4/5 million wage bill but at that level were going to end up a 2nd Division club or in old money 3rd Division club. That would be a sad state of affairs considering our recent past.

The way this league will go is shit wages with the promise of massive promotion bonuses.

Bournemouth / Brentford / Watford / Ipswich not prove it's doable?
