Site Supporter MickyD Posted March 7, 2015 Site Supporter Posted March 7, 2015 I just want to be walking up towards the Golden Cup grinning like a maniac. I don't care if Blackburn put 6 past us as long as we put 7 past them. Quote

Leyther_Matt Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 Can't see more than 2k for this one.Was thinking about 2,200 as long as pay on the day is an option (as yet unconfirmed but don't see why not) Quote

Site Supporter Biggish Dave Posted March 8, 2015 Site Supporter Posted March 8, 2015 Crowds going down for away followings? I think it's more to do with 4000+ going to Wigan especially with it being a Saturday and £6 cheaper Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Crowds going down for away followings? Not suprising with our away performances and record. Quote
ex_midlandwhite Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 I saw somewhere the other day that our home attendance is 16th in the championship and our away support is 29th in the football league out of 72 (excluding the prem). Â I love the championship but the main reason I think we need to go up again is to arrest the decline in our dwindling support and the money obviously. Quote
davidjack Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Don't think that away figure is correct - and it will be boosted after Blackburn and Wigan away anyway. We've also had the worst set of long distance fixtures of any team I reckon - Fulham, Charlton, Boro (Ipswich to come) all midweek, Norwich and Millwall on Friday nights (the latter just before Xmas). Take those out and a lot of our away followings have held up well. Home crowds are currently down almost a thousand on last year and almost 3k on the year before - which is inevitable given the steady decline (notwithstanding the boost under Lennon - without which we'd be getting crowds under 12k I think now). All the more reason why we need a proper push to get fans back for next season. Unless we reduce on the day prices and offer some of the ticket bundle ideas for those who can't afford or commit to a full season ticket, I can't see things changing much. Of course, getting off to a flying start would help. Quote
gonzo Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 If Blackburn draw today would it not put this fixture in jeopardy?? Quote
Moderators Carlos Posted March 8, 2015 Moderators Posted March 8, 2015 If they lose, Rhodes is off out on loan apparently. Quote

Members DazBob Posted March 8, 2015 Members Posted March 8, 2015 Anyone know if it'll be pay on gate? Can't be arsed buying a ticket. Alternatively, if anyone has a spare I'll take it off you for face value. Grassy arse. Quote

Sweep Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 fwiw i think having the 'bad' games midweek doesnt really matter much  theres no way we'd have 4k at huddersfield midweek for example, so it works both ways I agree, we had about 150 on the Friday match in Norwich. Had it been the Saturday we might have taken 500, so it doesn't make a great difference to our averages Quote
davidjack Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 True, but a sunny Saturday in August in Norwich would have seen us take a lot more than the 300 who went for a Friday night televised game. Though back in August we did still have the lunatic in charge. (Yes I know they won again y'day...tho I also see he's rotating his squads in advance again - regardless of how the team has performed in the previous game. We all know how well that eventually worked.) Quote
radcliffe white Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Fulham and Charlton would have been half decent turn outs on Saturdays, boro,Ipswich,Norwich and nillwall wouldn't have been a massive difference, infact they have all been poor turn outs in recent years. Quote
Moderators Carlos Posted March 8, 2015 Moderators Posted March 8, 2015 Liverpool are fucked if this draws, they play Swansea away on next Monday night (Sky) then the Munichs the Sunday after (Sky?). Quote
