Credit where it's due   Most would struggle getting three kicked off the pitch

What a horrible set of cunts reading are. Played every cheating trick in the book and that cunt of a ref let them get away with it. Fucking joke at this level.

  • They didnt deserve that. No options to change it in the second half so I cant complain too much. Ref was an absolute spaz. Where they dug him up from god only knows. Hope he drives through a hedgerow

on the throw, the ref waved it one way, the linesman signalled it the other

I noticed that too. Thing is though, every ref I've ever seen either gives the direction if he's seen it come off a player on the opposite team or doesn't give a decision andand thus accepts the assistant's call. What I've never seen a ref do is give a throw a certain way then allow himself to be overruled by his assistant. Especially as his assistants, particularly the one near us in wsl, were so inept.

Must have been a sweet celebration and feeling for the 180 or so Reading fans there last night.

Worth the trip for that equaliser and the fact that they didnt really deserve it. We've all been there.

157 reading

Did you count them or is that the official number? I Was going to count but Id had a few Guinness and my eyes arent all they used to be.

Low crowds are ace as they didnt run out of Guinness in the NSU for a change. Good atmosphere as well from the Diehards.

the one good thing was the pit of hate letting em know they were cnuts at full time

and mackies antics after his goal

whata canute

Agreed, i leave the NSU to get my flag from behind the goals on 90 mins and watch injury time from downstairs.

On the full time whistle sounding i vented my frustration on there big centre half as he was collecting his drinks bottle from the goal. He heard me and was involved for about 20 seconds as he ventured to the edge of the penalty box smirking and laughing. haha was just made up he'd heard me.

No shortage of passion from the Diehards in attendance last night.

I started counting got to 20 on the back line and then thought balls to it.

Do players have no shame anymore. Over celebrated by a good minute, again ref did fuck all. Then had the audacity to fake injury.

Not seen anything like what I saw last night for a long time. We are missing a keen hardman, we needed someone to step up last night and get stuck in.

2 minutes 58 the highlights.

Really hope Bradford kick them from pillar to post on Saturday - then beat them with an injury time goal

I may have been harsh on Dervite after seeing that.

He's still not half the defender Wheater is

Not sure. He's drawn to the ball and left a big hole. Ream was poor though too. A good defender would have read it and tucked in earlier.

the long highlights, 1 min 21

no words

Happened right in front of us and I was thinking he'd be lucky to only get a yellow for a fucking blatant kick.

When he took the throw in over McNaughtons body I knew it was going to be one of those nights.

Match report from Hobnob Anyone, Reading FC's forum: my highlights in bold. They must enjoy the style of football they served up last night.

Absolutely freezing and absolutely abysmal. So much so that I left after 88 minutes. Simply couldn't see it getting any better. Missed our equaliser unfortunately.

A single shot on target in each half (before leaving) and it was simply atrocious.

We managed to force them into three substitutions in the first half, and the possibility of wearing them down in the second seemed great.Unfortunately this wasn't to be.

Officials were also shocking, although the match wasn't dirty in my eyes. Mills and Norwood having their usual ranting at the officials. Was quite funny when the referee signalled a Bolton throw and the assistant signalled a Reading throw. Neither conceded so we took it. I think the assistants got equally annoyed at the man in the middles feeble attempts to control the game.

The first half was spent pretty much in our own half, although nothing clinical from either team, six shots with three on target for the home side, compared with our three shots to one on target. Feds kept us in it with three world class saves in the first half, and a few more in the second.

Second half we cam out strong for the first five minutes and thought we were going to change the game, wasn't to be though.

Subs at 70 minutes and Blackman made an immediate impact, with Cox running around like a dog chasing a ball..

Both sets of supporters were dismal, although neither really had anything to cheer about - 150 tickets purchased according to the staff on the single gate that was open.

End of the clip, reading player questioning the ref's timekeeping. Where do these folk draw the line?

Longer highlights for those interested

That's a major problem with the whole team when we don't have the ball. They watch the ball and ignore everything else.

That referee should be banished from any form of professional football after that, gave nothing when McNaughton was clogged and went downhill from that. Every dark art in the book from them, he had absolutely no idea how to spot it or what to do if he did. Definitely up there in the Barry Knight class.

BUT, we should have seen it out again. Switched off from throw, let Blackman turn, put ball in and still had chance to prevent the shooting chance but couldn't. Massively frustrating as that'd have been one heroic win in the circumstances. Bannan class, his retention and use of the ball under severe pressure at times was superb. Clarke and his sidekicks were every bit as up for giving the 4th official an ear warming as Lenny was, especially when they were getting desperate last five-ten mins.

When will our appalling luck with injuries end? First priority signing for the summer should be an exorcist

Worse than that in my eyes. He's a coward too. He let the Reading players bully him all match. He deliberately made sure he was looking the other way when he knew something was going on - like their right back stealing yards at every throw-indespite one mild rebuke from the ref. The orange-flag linesman was no better. They should be sent packing to remedial reffing classes for 12 months.

that suggests a lack of confidence in themselves and each other. Possibly even in what they are being asked to do

Deserved to win the game thought we were excellent second half and a pat on the back for the fans who went it was freezing but for a low crowd got behind the team 2nd half, really enjoying watching us at home were pretty decent. Bannan MOM by a country mile but special praise for ALF especially on how he created the goal and I hope a way can be found to sign them both.

I think a whip round could be the only option

Mackie was taking the piss. the most tasteless thing i've seen an opposing player do for a long, long time, all with a big grin on his face too. twat. hope he breaks his leg again.
