Feeney is sub for Trotter as scapegoat not brilliant but asked to muddle his game like no other .He would have been rested by now if we had the bodies but he is a willing player his form is pretty gash but is that not surprising given his constant positional changes ......manager has to take some responsibility for that , then again we are short on numbers .....so get off his fuckin back

I thought Vela did ok last night, one of our better players with Bannan. Heskey made a difference when he came on and great to see Davies-Out back on the pitch.

Dervite is crap, I just don't see what he offers and hopefully the deal offered to Mills will be poor then he will be off to. We have to spend what pittance we have this summer on the defence because it is currently rubbish

don't worry mills will be off Dougie wants him.

I agree with this and thought Vela was one of the better of a bad bunch glad to see he was moved from CM as I've said before he's not upto CM yet. Heskey was superb when he came on and ALF had another good performance if we don't sign him I'll be as pissed of as when we didn't sign Juke as for me it would show the clubs intention to compete.

Surprised by some of the comments on rochina on here. I'm in agreement with big toe that he's probably a couple of stations/passes ahead of out lot.

It's alright saying get rid of Mills, Dervite etc but that;s not much use if we don't have better to replace them with

I think it's a sign of how bad we are at the back (and not just there) that there are such varied opinions on who our best combination is

Massive, massive job in the summer

He's lightweight and ineffective. Exactly what we don't need. We need more players who can physically dominate games.

I agree with the 2nd part of that, but we also don't really have much guile; last night until Mark Davies came on we were so easy to defend at that level - we passed it until we were under pressure / had no options and then lumped it aimlessly at ALF / Feeney.

Rochinha isn't the answer, but neither is JUST physicality.

The balance needs to be right.

I would say that Rochinha wouldn't be a good signing for us if Clough and Mark Davies are fit next season, but he could well go on to be a good player somewhere...he has a super touch, turn and spatial awareness

Mark Davies, Clough and Clayton. In my view hard to fit them in as it is. We need monsters to add to that.

On the basis they will all be fit for 46 games? Rochina was the only creative spark in the first half. Yes he is lightweight but that will come. I agree we need some bulk behind but a bit of flair will not hurt surely?

Flair if it has an end product. Might as well have ten men if we pick that Portuguese dwarf.

I get the feeling he will go on to bigger and better than us, so shouldn't be an issue for much longer.

Only a blind man couldn't see there's a talent inside Rochina he can't be played in a team full of other tiny players but with the right blend and at the right money we should seriously consider signing him as one for the future these type of players when mature can go for big money and it might be a case of developing him then cashing in on him so whatever NL decides on Rochina is ok by me. There is a bigger picture and developing talent to sell on could be s lucrative income stream for BWFC given the lack of support/income generated through the turnstile.

There's only Blackpool that have used more players than us this season.

He's not right for us, not what we need and we don't need more players for the future.

It would be a Dougie Freedman type signing. We need players to make us better now. Players who are physically and mentally ready to contribute next season, ones who will help the talent we already have.

We have bright young prospects in Vela, Clough, Clayton and Walker. Probably more still coming through behind them. If we play the system that Neil Lennon seems to favour we need two physical midfield players behind an attacking one. Right now I suspect we're looking at playing one of Mark Davies or Clough or Clayton in that attacking role. Possibly one of Clough or Clayton up front.

If we need extra flair or attacking ability it is out wide where we are lacking that quality.

People calling Roccinha are like those who called Eagles. Basically because he doesnt run around kicking people he is shit. its a sad mentality of bolton fans

He's not right for us, E. Accept it.

Is it right Rochinha has basically played his first proper professional games for us?

If so he has had about 5 senior appearances in a new country and environment and people have made their mind up on him already.

.

I checked Wikipeado as I'd never heard of him. He's played for Benfica B, which is 2nd Division Portugal. His youth career is nothing special.

Lennon reckons he was the best player in the u19s champs league

I wouldn't be too disappointed if we signed Rochina for a small fee, the lad is obviously talented and it wouldn't be a massive gamble IMO. I agree about our lack of height though, especially in midfield, we've a midfield of midgets at the moment and in the Championship you need physicallaty too. We really need a 6'3+ midfield enforcer in there.

Well he doesnt know what he is talking about

It comes down to end product. Nobody is calling Clough because he doesn't run around kicking people. Because he contributes definitively. Similarly with Mark Davies when he is actually fit. He makes a difference on the pitch.

Nobody can doubt Rochina has technical ability. But he's miles off translating that into doing things that will get us points regularly. Eagles is a good example, when he was performing at his best he was creating chances and scoring and was a player who won you games. When he wasn't at his best you carried him and he contributed nothing of any value. If Eagles was at his best more he'd not have been having temporary deals and lower level championship teams this season.

Clough has played a couple of games and scored a couple. Now he is a world beater. He has done well but people are writing players off because they think he is the future of the club and nobody else is needed.
