I'm sure he will enjoy it on about £25K per week more than he would have been offered by Bolton. All this about players "wanting to play" is utter bollocks, it's all about the money.

 

I'd like us to get Amos if he goes, as a few others have said, but I'm not so sure that we won't be priced out of that potential deal as well

 

Wasn't it Winston Bogarde at Chelsea during the Ambromovich early days, got a nice big contract and never got played so they tried to ship him out. Admitted that he wouldn't leave because he was at the end of his career, had a nice big contract being paid for doing nothing

Good job nobody in Liverpool reads it then.

Bogdan is nowhere near as good as Mignolet, but he is a better back up than jones!!!

Mignolet at his best is better than Boggers

But his propensity for dropping a ricket probably means overall Bogdan is a safer bet as a keeper.

We will see, Bogdan will sit on the bench, and play the odd cup game.

 

Hard to be objective through tinted specs, but last season (when they finished 2nd) Mignolet was very good, and for Sunderland was brilliant.

 

Just remember how bad Liverpools defence has been !?!

So no meaningful pre-season again. That could explain the dull fixtures list.

That is when we can formally sign free agents. I'm sure Madine and Morgan and perhaps another one will be announced then. But lots of free agents hang around waiting for better offers. They will happen in August. And then loans after that.

 

Lennon will obviously want his business done early. Won't happen though as it never does.

No point in messing about if Bogdan wont commit and Amos wont accept our offer we have to move on it does beg the question why let Lonergan go if we cannot tie up the other 2.

Cant see Lonergans demands would cause us a problem and receiving transfer fees for players not going to happen for us too often nowadays as I think its more likely a player will run his contract down and thus negotiating a nice signing on fee.

Al Habsi and Jussi are free agents... I think we could do worse than them even now.

when you consider that even gomes looked a keeper and got promoted, theres little doubt jussi could do a job if his back is up to it

We had better get a lot shrewder and better players  if Transfer fees our way forward as the only market out there is for premiership quality players as this FFP seriously stopping teams outside the top flight spending anything.I think the future for clubs outside the top flight has never been bleaker.
