dont forget, that income doesnt just need to fund 18 first teamers

until the townsfolk accept there is a higher price to pay for a competitive football team, we have a hard job to improve the players we can bring in

latest accounts saw us turnover 30 million

mostly parachutes

gate receipts for last season about 2.5 million plus any cup monies

Not sure why this comes back to knocking our fans. Fwiw I think due to our location and lack of success we are actually well supported.

I don't think anyone is knocking the fans on this thread - I do see Cas highlighting the stark financial reality though.

I agree with you that our support is okay all things considered - but 16k attendances at £8odd average seat price aint going to go far.

Some will point out attendances will improve if performances and results pick up. Were in a catch 22 unless we can get results on the cheap and/or start selling high and buying (or producing our own) low.

I agree the competition is fierce. I also think we have been lucky to have been backed financially as well as we have to allow us pretty good achievements despite the competition. Bigger clubs than us have had spells in league one, especially in a game where money is more and more important

This.

We've won fuck all for over 50 years, with two of the biggest clubs in the country on our doorstep and we are still averaging higher than Blackburn who won the league 20 years ago, a league cup after that and only have us and Burnley to compete with for support.

There are far more clubs would swap our set up for there's than the other way round - there's not a lot wrong with BWFC and it's been a fantastic 25 years when all said and done we will be back I have no doubt

Don't see the point in knocking the club or Eddie Davies who has been marvellous.

We obviously are in a bit of a bind at the mo, but we haven't had to build a supermarket on the ground yet.

Hope that we can see the youth come through even more next term.

Not getting the Mills of this world to re-sign is a bit of a bonus in this respect.

our prices are too high as it is

I know, was it £8.50 on average?

Erm, Sherpa Van Trophy.

This may be completely irrelevant (and probably is)... But I left a massive smelly shit in the Sir Matt Busby suite bogs at Old Trafford yesterday.

Enjoyed
