  • I used to go along with the 51% rule as described by Bolty.   Thing is, Bolty probably bumps into a bolton fan he hasn't met before perhaps twice a year for about 10 minutes. One who has made it to

  • Some serious over-reaction.   We already have 1 more point than I expected from the 1st 2, we should have beat the favourites for the league but for the bar, we outplayed the favourites and showed t

My arse! Derby are no more than about a hundred miles from anywhere, they are a one club city and their nearest prem club is about 40 miles away. It grinds my gears when the likes of Derby and Forest

So glad Lennon didn't try and bull shit us fans, he basically said what we thought, bad team selection & tactics and he takes full responsibility for it. Would sooner have a manager like him in charge than a tosser like Druggie.

Except the 1-1 draw at home where mills equalised and Jamie Paterson scored for them.

Drew down there as well, Craig davies diving header

Well clearly my memories shot then.

I don't think anybody on here would've dicked about with 352 today

But you crack on blaming the board

Have you checked out his favourite formation????

Get used to 3-5-2 where possible

I get that but I tell myself he's bright enough to know we are Bolton not a dominant Celtic

I get that but I tell myself he's bright enough to know we are Bolton not a dominant Celtic playing in a pub League!

I agree!

I'll be pleasantly surprised if we don't start 352 on Tuesday.

As Garp told us last season most teams in L1 and L2 started 352 last season. I think it works with the right personnel. I think our coaches need to get us defending properly first

We have never had a stubborn manager before have we?

Mrs Freeman ;-)

Pretty sure Burnley & Ipswich play 4-4-2 and Leicester did when they got promoted. Maybe over complicating things isn't the brightest thing to do?

Agreed. 442 for me in this league unless you are a class above.

I fear Lennon is overcomplicating things

I can see why he does it if he wants to play Clough as a midfielder

Cos 4 including Clough may well get over run

But if Clough's not playing it makes no sense to me

Anyway, like I say, he strikes me as bright enough to adapt

But, we've seen this 352 more times than enough already

And aye, he says we had some knocks - was Wilson one of em?

In the absence of an obvious wide left option he gets the benefit of the doubt

Which again brings me back to Kellet

Tell us what, I'm putting this game in a drawer and forgetting about it

4 points from 4 won't be a bad start

Coyle under complicated things (not a clue), Freedman over complicated things lets hope Lennon gets it right eventually

4 points from 4 won't be a bad start

Agreed. And its an amazing time to play forest as they really don't have a striker unless they have a great week

I reckon he'll go 5-3-2 on Tuesday

That'll fox 'em

Have they still got halford :)

Centre half for Rotherham. Literally no way we can't beat this Freedman team!!

Fair play for apologising but why didn't he change it during the game. Ten minutes in it was plainly obvious it was never going to work.

Anyone booing feeney today wants there head testing. He was played out of position, he is never a striker.

We've got some idiots as fans us.

Keep it simple and try and be solid, then hope your better attacking players do the business.

Except the 1-1 draw at home where mills equalised and Jamie Paterson scored for them.

But not necessarily in that order?

It's easy to say after a dicking, but

10 minutes is too knee jerk

Doesn't help we lost Ream and didn't have the funds to get the

Well, technically we didn't lose Ream as he's not gone yet and is injured.

Can't see new players being up go speed for a while yet if they come to us cold. In the short term we'll be very thin on the ground. Pratley is our biggest issue. If he goes on an injury spree we're weak.

Totally agree, yet people on here this week want a striker alongside Madine and Clough in the team too. Can't have both unfortunately, hate this 3-5-2 bollocks but can't have it both ways. Anyone screaming Lennon out has some serious problems

It was that obvious though. I really hope Lennon has learnt. We looked leagues behind boro today and I genuinely believe if we had set up right we'd have given them a game.

It didn't work with the players we had last year

This. However much of a current fad it is, it only works, as far as I'm concerned, if your wing backs defend well first and attack second. We'd nobody who could do that last season and it's no different now.

NL's come out and said he got it wrong, fair enough, hopefully it'll be consigned to the bin for good

The 4-4-2 with a diamond last week and Clough in behind the strikers looks like our best bet

Lacks width and will rely on ZC to create though but at least defensively it looked sound

Need to get a couple of bodies in if nothing more than to keep us afloat through these never ending knocks!!

Without Pratkey in we just look weak in the middle (who'd have thought that a few seasons back)

that was a fucking piss take!
