Take Hunt Off Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 The back three didn't work last season with Feeney & Dervite being the least comfortable with the system also Feeney is a bog standard yed down run like the clappers & (hopefully) cross merchant .He is no way a central feeder/striker This is a bit worrying has its history repeating itself .Hope we have seen the last of the leaky back three. BOWTUN BAKED Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 How many travelled in the end? About 700-750 at a guess, quite a few left at halftime Quote

kent_white Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 I played as a striker at primary school and I know nothing about defending. To be fair I haven't seen the goals yet - but if the example at the bottom is really Moxey's starting and finishing position then it's bloody dreadful. No matter how badly the article is written. overseas Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 When Lennon first arrived, if I remember there was a miracle and he had them winning, then suddenly they segued into how they were before. What did he do to get those results at first? were they scared of him and made a proper effort? Quote
Biggish Dave Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 I was seriously pissed off yesterday with that performance or lack of. At least the 'old Rosie' had the desired effect to take some of the edge off. Good day out though despite the football Quote
jonnycooper Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 When Doug the lesser was dispensed with,we then suffered that commonly known stage (New Manager Syndrome)and went on to survive in the Championship...But for that initial spurt we would have been down!!Now I know that Lennie will probly go on to have Bruce like legendary status here, but!!And it's a big one,he hasn't really shown enough just yet, I know though that White Hot Mk2 is just around this bend so I need to be a little more patient!!! MalcolmW Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 S-Tel quotes Karanka as saying: "It could be the best half we've played in my time in charge. We played really well, especially considering we changed our shape just before the game after seeing Bolton's team". Quote
Carlos Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 That's exactly why talking formations is bollocks. The shape is dynamic, the other team adapt to what you do, and vice versa. No matter what you play, there's a way to address it (taking into account your available resources). Karanka has done Lennon, tactically. I suspect he'd do anyone whose opinion is "play 4-4-2" or who thinks they can see things that other in the game can't. You might as well go watching Chess and shout "bishop to G3". Quote
passmosster Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 I wasn't there, but the number of times that we have played Bristol City or Boro and given that Adomah acres of space. Do we ever watch the opposition? Quote
bwfc87 Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 We'll all feel a lot better when we've won the next two. NLSWA Quote
