Why in hells name would he want to go to Hull. Just a stupid rumour made up by some sad sod with to much time on their hands.

No worries mounts.

The Utd rumour was complete bull shit and happened whilst clough was in Dubai.

Hope this is the same.

Young players have good and not so good games.

It's all part of the learning process.

So how do you distinguish the great from the "have potential but won't fulfil it" at this stage?

My guess is you probably can't

Which is the point a few of us kinda made when Clough was wowing the crowds last season - don't read too much Into it

Same as you shouldn't overly read into it when he's ineffective

See what happens when he's played a season eh

I firmly believe in 2nd season syndrome and it usually comes from the pressures of the fans expecting consistency and a 'kid' to light up every game.

Not just that but the opposition marking him out too

Having said that, he hardly gave us a 1st season did he. Only played a handful of games

He sure has the potential; just hope he realises it and doesn't become another Mark Davies

The Moose on talk sport raved about him during the MKD game

It's all he spoke about every time they went to him

We're a few games in with half the team brand new, we've got a good manager who has said he wants to build a team around him (end of season doo in May)

It will come good sooner rather than later

Clough needs to adapt to Bolton playing a different way. He isn't always going to get the ball at his feet and has to find other ways of getting on the ball in space.

Hes also got to get used to the opposition paying closer attention to him.George Thorne didn't give him time and space against Derby, and same with forests defensive midfielder.big strong lads who weren't allowing him time on the ball.

He needs a bit of luck to. Soon as he gets a goal, he will relax and get back to his best.

Also needs protection from referees getting chopped an awful lot.

To Hull and back??? You must be joking!!!!

True. If it wasnt for that last ditch tackle on Saturday that deflected the ball just wide, we wouldn't be having this conversation. Well for another week....

An absolute given unfortunately in this league full of cloggers. (See reading, wolves etc last year)

Thinly veiled shit fan

Last season Clough would have scored then IMO, with the lack of confidence in the team at the moment he took a second longer and tried to place the ball, as mentioned with a goal in him and just scores, after so long with a goal players always take a split second longer or just shoot from silly positions.

So where's the beast we wanted for our midfield to help protect Clough & Mavies ?

And don't say Spearing

Pratley for me, but there's just one problem with this.

Clough has signed a 3-year extension.  :)

3 years on the treatment table being nicely paid

Man in the pub?

When is he due back from injury?

Contract signed = transfer fee secured I'm guessing it'll be 4 million!

When is he due back from injury?

December

Needs a prem club ASAP, getting knocked about in champ for years will do him no good.
