September 27, 201510 yr Vatican is a must, get to the top of it to, great views of Rome Colliseum obviously worth a visit to Get a underground pass for 3 days, only 16 euros or so, worth every penny Spanish Steps, ok round there When I went in jan the trevi fountain still had scaffolding round it, I think it may still be like that to It may be worth booking tickets in advance, the queues are huge

September 27, 201510 yr Don't eat in a restaurant that has no prices against the dishes on the menu like i foolishly did a few years back. I ended up paying £86 for two pizzas, 2 beers and 2 diet cokes. I can still remember the smug expression on the waiter's face as he handed me the bill....there was nothing holy about my reaction.

If not, probably good if you like churches, fountains and other architecture Do NOT under any circumstances get any sort of refreshment from anywhere that looks vaguely like a tourist area unless you want to sell your house to pay the bill The Vatican is well worth a look

September 27, 201510 yr The lines to get in Colloseum can be 1hr+, we went right at the end of the day and flew straight in ((think it shuts half hour before sunset) The bars and restaurants in Trestevere are really good Villa borghesie park at the top of the Spanish steps is good for a wander round We found it easy enough getting round on foot, everything is pretty central Trevi fountain was shut when I went in May

September 28, 201510 yr Find the Pantheon, not much to see in there but great spot outside for a beer and people watching, also not too far from Piazza Navone which is just as good to people watch. At the bottom of Via Del Corso there is the big building with the flying horses on the roof, you will have seen it on numerous program's but can't remember it's name - that's well worth a look, you can get the lift up to the top, the views are fantastic of the Colosseum and Roman Forum
September 28, 201510 yr Done this before on here but I really didn't like the Vatican Left me very cold Makes two of us, didn't sit right at all. Agree with everything to far, Borghese Gardens, Pantheon, Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona, Trevi (if its open) Via Condotti at the bottom of the Spanish Steps is worth a wander up even if you're not a shopper.
