Eddie has had some abuse these past few weeks, a lot of it unwarranted by idiots.

  • So a bloke who gave us £150million is asking that his contribution be remembered by naming a room after him. Not a stand or the entire stadium. A room.   He's also asking that instead of getting his

Or does he mean the bloke buying the club is local

Well it's either Disley or Peter Jones

Is Peter Jones local?

Is Peter Jones local?

As in orbit/Emerson group. I'd say pretty local yeah :)

Isn't he from Alderley?

What about the bloke who owns A.O.com?

I'd expect that to be a N.O.

Isn't he from Alderley?

All piss in the same pot your Greater Manchester folk ;)

So Nixon reckons we've got a buyer? His recent tweet said something along the lines of. Car park deal advanced, buyer local. Businessman and long term fan. No idea about monies involved but should keep club going for a bit.

Alderley Edge railway station was in Chorley, Cheshire, but to avoid the potential for confusion with Chorley, Lancashire, the station was named after the nearby geographical feature. Then the village itself was renamed after the railway station.

:D

Careful mate, wife's seen projections of rising sea levels over the decades to come. Virtually the whole of the effluent coast will disappear. You'll all be immigrants down here then

I read that as the bloke who bought the car park is local

I also think that he ment the car park buyer is local and fan and not the buyer of the club.

Thanks Henrik nice to hear your still taking an interest from afar, if your ever back home and going to the match send me a PM and I'll buy you a beer guess your all grown up now.????????

I'm still in same seats and most likely can find you a spare ticket. ????

P.S. I didn't win it. ☹

I was back over Christmas and got to enjoy the delights of Fulham, Blackburn Rotherham and Huddersfield. I will make myself know next December ????

Good lad. ????

The buyer of the car park will, I assume, be the same who was involved in the first purchase of the car park. If so, he is a massive fan and a BL5-er

Could be wrong, but would make sense

Wasn't the first piece of the car park purchased by Prescott developments or something

Which was found to be TJ Morris - I.e home bargains?

If so I thought they were based in Kirkby / Luverpool

Is that report in the sun real? Or is it an April fools come early??

He's one of the two directors, the other is local.

What report?

What report?

The sun have it down as dragons den Peter jones that's buying the car park.

Journo wants sacking if its real.

He's one of the two directors, the other is local.

Didn't know that

So we've got seriously wealthy fans including....

1 half of TJ Morris (home bargains) which turns over more than £1b a year with over £100m a year profit

The guy behind AOL (John Roberts) who made £86m on flotation which was only a quarter of his holding (he's worth at least £300m then)

Warbies family who's brand is number 2 in UK behind Coka cola - they were estimated to be worth £500m

Peter Jones (not the dragons den one) worth an estimated £462m by the MEN in 2013

Hillary devey who's apparently worth £75m

There's a consortium in there somewhere surely

That consortim do it to make money, not piss it down a black hole

Some would argue that Brett Warburton is already doing his bit.
