if we had 20K adult fans paying proper admission money , we would not be bottom of the table.   people who don't want to go / give up. DON'T MOAN

Megson would of been strung by his balls if he had this kind of run

  • I have a slant on this I reckon this takeover is on because no way would ED put up with this if he needed a buyer being bottom of the league wouldn't help his cause, I reckon Lenon would have been sac

Said similar myself Matty - I would do without Feeney and Wellington in preference of a more solid midfield with Clayton & Davies playing off Madine.

The 2 foreign full backs like bombing on so use them as our width. Not a great position to be in but whatever we are doing at the moment is certainly not working

Starting to lose confidence in Lennon. Does anybody know what his contract situation is? According to Wiki, he signed a 4 year contract with us.

I reckon we'd go down before he was sacked if we are as skint of folk think we are.

His severance package would be paid via the sale of assets.

Gartside and ED don't give a shit so why should we!         cos the club means more to us than them

Fully agree.

But then what can WE realistically do about the club's problems.

I haven't got a clue what we can do differently anymore. I don't think Lennon knows his best team.

Last night at one point, Birmingham broke and had 3 players completely unmarked running up the wing. When was the last time we seemed to break with real intent and purpose?

Like someone else has mentioned, he's brought in some solid(ish) defenders and they seem to be nowhere near the team or in the Dougie Freedman bingo machine positions.

On Saturday, I'd have Vela or Spearing starting, possibly even both. The fact that Velas constantly on the bench but not getting in the U21s for game time seems peculiar to me.

I'd be tempted to go:

Amos,

Casado, Derik, Prince, Pisano (if fit)

Vela, Pratley, Danns

Clayton, Mavies

Madine

Similar sort of set up to how we started against Derby with a more physical mid. We've nothing better up front than Madine and I think Davies and Clayton could play off him fairly well. Then you can leave them 3 in the middle to just do the ugly stuff and release it.

Fuck it, I don't even know anymore.

I would stick Feeney in ahead of Vela and play 4 2 3 1

If he starts Heskey and Madine I doubt I would go in the ground other than Leeds Yoof Junior female division are mobbed up and will need hotdogs buying.

And Spearing if fit ahead of Danns, based on Saturday the only reason Spearing has not been playing is that he has a clause that means he gets paid more every time he plays

Why the fook did Lennon sign Wilson & Pisano for right back and he plays Derik there? What did he sign Twardzik and Dobbie for?

i think pisano is injured

wilson is the whipping boy....when walker isn't playing

A mate of mine bumped into Wilson yesterday and had a bit of a chat with him. Lovely bloke by all accounts and said he's really enjoying it up here and that the support has been incredible (made a point of mentioning how vocal we were at Burnley at the weekend). My mate asked him about the mood in the camp and he said it was positive but that they just desperately needed a win (wouldn't argue there) and that they'd decided that they might just have to 'win ugly'. Which might explain last night's set up?

its a decent point

even managers spending millions get players that don't work out

twardzik was a (strange) punt

dobbie, no problem with him

do think the right back situation is very strange as it seems we have 4 who can play there

last nights set up was all but guaranteed to lose ugly :)

the point stands though that as shite as we were, we lost by one

fine margins

Fine margins indeed... They could of scored 2 or 3. We should of scored 1

Fair result

We lost by 1 not helped by a bizarre team selection to a team 2nd in the table and we drew to the top of the league that suggests were not as much of a lost cause as you suggest. I think it's time for a bit of bunker mentality not a time for a knee jerk reaction.

I counted 5 decent chances, inc 2 back to back sitters

some folk just like to wallow in their own shit

leave em be

That why i said fine margins. Madine should of scored and they could of had two or three if it wasnt for the keeper.

Spearing needs to be fit

Davies needs to be pushed further up front

We need to sign at least one attacking player on loan

Lack of signings show we are at our worst position money wise since the 80s

Money needs to be found or we will be on our way down

Right. Money.

Let's not beat about bush. We're only skint because our multi millionaire owner has decided he doesn't want to play anymore. Fair enough, it's his money he can spend it how he likes.

But as a successful businessman he will know if you don't invest in a business it will stagnate then fail. And that is what is happening at the moment.

We need new owners because if we carry on following Eddie's current plan we're facing a trip to the lower league.

I didn't go as i'm away so i can only go off the result and what i read, so as it stands we'll be fucked before xmas

I'm now starting to lose my love affair with NL

Quite right Mick, this situation needs to come to a head and the sooner the better. I am not particularly bothered if E.D. walks and we go into admin as long as he takes P.G. and we start with a new slate and a vision, the current death by a 1000 cuts is worse than starting again with a clean slate. And as others have said just need to see a plan and a vision to take us forward and if that's from League 1 so be it.

We coud always stick Trotter in now he's not going to be joining Doogie

you cant just go into administration cos you're losing every week

so long as we can afford to pay our bills, we need to get on with it

at least thats my understanding of it

unless we cant pay the bank, i don't think administration is an option

if we do go into administration, somebody will try to sell the club

no fcuker wants it

then they'll try to sell assets

good luck with that

for some reason admin is seen as the cure for all ills

it isn't

It might stop folk moaning about the debt every 2 fucking minutes though

Correct Cassie, even if we did go into Administration, and all the debt was wiped - we wouldn't be any better off, we would still have exactly the same income, so wouldn't be in a position to sign anybody anyway......we would probably just be minus any of the assets that we have that might be worth something (Ground, Hotel and Training facilities)

People have said for a while our debt is a "paper debt" and doesn't really exist, and if it does, then it's just to ED - he's hardly likely to put himself into administration, unless there is a decent benefit to him - I would imagine he would start selling off all the assets before putting himself into administration, that would be a last resort.

Somebody fairly recently said we had up to £500M worth of assets.....

It might stop folk moaning about the debt every 2 fucking minutes though

no chance, there's more chance of NB paying you for the Preston ticket  :glare:
