Also mate if that was the case and if that was the only point of the talks/meeting and deal ... Did anyone tell Zelenskyy that? Because I don't think I heard him mention it once. It was all about protection and security.

It’s plainly obvious that the status quo can’t continue, although some seem happy with it. The only thing I agree with Trump on is that he also believes it. The way he’s going about it though is wrong and embarrassing for the US.

Biden failed in giving Ukraine the resources they needed to change that status quo in Ukraines favour. As did the rest of the western alliance. Trump is exploiting the previous weaknesses. 
Hopefully, an alliance involving Europe and others (Canada/Australia etc.) will fill the void if the US withdraws support.
