January 13, 201610 yr I reckon the upper limit (for a trainee) is probably between the two (36-100) - maybe around 66 hours, 70 tops. 100 hours? Then they're probably (definitely) overthinking it, or having a lot of teabreaks or wankbreaks*. Also, the day in school flies by if done right, hardly feels like a 'job' at all (if done right). *during planning at home, not in school, wankbreaks in school are very much frowned upon. At the end of the 1978 season I knew I would have a lot of overtime in 1979, thanks to the Chancellor of the Exchequer moving the goalposts for tax relief on life assurance premiums, so gave up the club work. In 1979 I worked 3 Saturdays and 21 Sundays, mostly at short notice, as well as a few nightshifts.
January 13, 201610 yr Depends on the school, though 8:15ish to 4:30ish isn't uncommon...Taking full breaks isn't really done either in most places.
January 13, 201610 yr No balls got it :P Do 7-6 Monday and Tuesday 7-4 Wednesday 7-5 Thursday 7-2.30 Friday Then about 4 hours on a Sunday, maybe about 1 or 2 hours during the week. Take off 2.5 hours for lunch, leaves 52 hours ish.. I often wonder where some of the 80 hour weeks that people claim seem to come from.. I'm dyslexic and it takes me much longer than others to get things done.. I dont do any work on school Holidays... that's me taking my time back.. Levels itself out.

Working in a hospital will be a never ending job, always something else needs doing..

January 13, 201610 yr Either foundation year 1 or 2. The one you usually see when first taken to a&e. Still qualified Doctors can be 'Junior' for their whole career should they choose to.
