Supporters Trust Now Legal Entity

Featured Replies

The trust is now a legal entity, needs as many folk on board as possible think Pompey have 4000 trust members were at 3800 surely we can smash that number. Get your tenners pledged.????

How much would people realistically pledge?

I'd happily pay £10p/m DD towards this if it was towards the running of a fan owned club.

I would begrudge paying lazy millionaires to mope about a pitch that at the moment though.

I agree I would happily pay a monthly DD. Hopefully the supporters trust will not only help the club financially but can also play a part of re-connecting the club/players with the fans and the town/community.

What happens now, do they ask you for the tenner via Paypal or summat, I can't remember giving my bank details

Gonzo is handling the payments through his PayPal account. Details to follow

4300 signed up that's more than Pompey have already.

Let's see how many actually chip in a tenner first. I bet it's about half.

I'd be willing to put some money in on a continual basis but not until the vermin who have been running the club for the last few years have gone and the likes of Dervite have gone.

I can see the not rights now, screaming at the players, 'I pay you're wages' etc.

Therein is the problem. Fine on the board members, but like it or not an sc cannot have any influence on players. In fighting would abound and that's completely unworkable.

More of a case of high end earners gone. We can't afford to pay decent wages so as long as there is an achieveable wage structure in place, I'd be happy to leave the football side of things to football men

Bang on

The Government report issued today is quite timely.  Whilst it is probably unrealistic that our club could be owned by the ST there are recommendations in the report to help with club purchase, tax status and sharing of skill sets amongst all ST's.

The level of input our ST will have on the club will probably depend on how far it falls.

before pledging any cash, i want to see how this money would be used.

if any person takes a penny out, they can get to fuck..

All Trust revenue from membership subscriptions will be deposited in the Trust's bank account and will be used, initially, to cover any essential administration costs incurred in setting up the Trust. Any surplus will be retained in the account for use by the Trust membership, in association with the democratically elected board, all in full accordance with the Trust rules and regulations.

Seems fair enough to me.

When's the election

Who decides who we get the opportunity to vote for?

Let's hope a certain ex player isn't involved - cannot be trusted with money.

Shall we not see first. Before we predict it's on its arse.

Exactly, let's see how many chip in before we start ballooning we've got more than Pompey!

interesting stuff on the ben site

iles has put two articles up and the comments below ask plenty of the questions the negative fcukers on here were asking a month ago

they are generally loons like :)

Seen lots of people signing up the whole family, granny and the dog. I'm not sure what this is supposed to be achieving.

Read the comments on the Brett Warburton statement, rightly most comments want a clean sweep, and that means goodbye Brett and rightly so. Supporters trust get into bed with BW and any of current board members and the ST is finished before its began.

As long as they pay a £10 for each it doesn't matter, I'm signing my lad in as it's an extra £10 for the trust.

Dunno, your lad is a supporter and u16s don't pay anyway.

If it's one member one vote then it does matter. Loads of ghost members dilutes the influence of genuine members.
