Shit bag   Never cash out   Ever

  • Exactly. If you are in a position where that money will really help but you want to risk a nice win like that just so folk will think you a proper lad and give you kudos because you had the balls not

  • He wouldn't

I reckon I'd have done the same on his situation. Not sure they've got quite enough to get over the line - much as I'd like them to.

He's got another 25k to come too from his other bet.

Shit bag

deal

Bird in the hand & all that.

Think I might have waited for another game or two.

Though with another bet still riding can see his sense in it.

Really? Seems like a no brainer to me, probably why I am crap at betting :D

It's been a crazy season, I'd be silly not to take my money and run.

– JON PRYKE...........!

I think his monicker say's it all , I can only pronouce his name as PRICK .

Wise choice, having a remarkable season but won't win it

Depends what his circumstances are, that might be over a year's wages for him, or he might have huge debts that he can no clear. Either way, getting back £29K for a £20 lay out is quite nice

The bloke said he wasn't enjoying his football and he'd like to enjoy this time, sounds fair, he wasn't skint as he was on about buying an Aston.

I realise you are the expert on this subject Traf but why in this case  do you think he should have seen it out? I think I would have waited but those last four fixtures for me will end their hopes.

Probably would have cashed in 3 months ago me.

Is it possible to cash back in?

That away end looked ace then

Ha ha - that's what I thought. Piling down those stairs - brilliant.

bet he could have got £10k more tonight

Knowing sweet fa about betting and the like, if they'd lost their next game could the bookies then refuse to pay out and hope they'd loose the league and then not have to pay out until it's a mathematical cert either way?

In a word yes. If they really don't think they will win it they would have offered him less or not offered a cash out at all. Btw I would have cashed out too. A£20 bet to win £29,000 is a once in a lifetime bet.

I may even be tempted to reinvest part of it on the top 4 Leicester 5/4

Spurs 3/1

Arsenal 5/1

City 6/1

Someone better than me will be able to work out a way of guaranteeing a profit with that lot.

If as you have pointed out Leicester are close to evens then why cash out at 3/1? (£29k instead of £100k)

Surely you could have got £40k laying on bet fair or even on eBay selling the bet privately

£29k just seems cheap looking at were the market is at

I did think about that yesterday, surely he would have been able to sell the bet on to some professional gambler who would have offered him around £40K
