Drones

I was getting out of my car which was parked on my drive and I heard this noise that sounded like a swarm of bees, but no, it was a fooking Drone, which was hovering directly above my property. My Mrs said that the Drone has appeared a few times today.

Has anybody else started to get annoyed with these noisy little nosey fookers? If it appears again over my property, I think I'm going to have a pop at it with my air rifle.

Never seen or heard one ever

Use one for work, they are useful.

Never seen one knocking about around where I live though.

Saw one the other week when playing cricket. It was circling the pitch for about 20 mins and then fucked off at breakneck speed.

Apparently their 'pilots' plot their course beforehand on computer and off they go on their lonesome before then returning home. Pretty impressive.

If I ever see one years of honing my conkering skills as a kid will come into play...

Unless it's SJM doing his leering/window checking.

When I see someone using one I instinctively think 'what a bellend' before reflecting on the fact that I want a go.

The South Park episode about drones is funny

They hover outside women's bedrooms, obviously

The AHM have had a drone for years. But we call it Meldrew.

Wonder if i could attach a little squeegee to one so I didn't have to lump that big fucking pole about all day?

Not after 8 pints of tyskie :D

My former employers (did I say I was retired? ) bought one for help with aerial surveillance at incidents and other uses as deemed helpful.
One of the pilots... yes, they think they're pilots! Anyway, one of the pilots turned out to an incident, got there and was asked by the incident commander to take a look at the whole incident from up above, blah blah, blah.

Did you know, the propellers; all four of them, don't only go onto the spindles the correct way. Now, if I'd paid £50k for a fucking toy helicopter, I'd make bloody sure the propellers could only be fitted the right way around. Do you see where I'm going with this?

Anyway, the pilot fitted the props, set the controls and the toy helicopter went up about 6 feet, flipped then slammed itself into the tarmac.

This was the point at which the helicopter guy found out that there is more than one way to fit the props.

I don't think that particular pilot is on the team.

Amazon will be delivering packages using them within the next 3 years

Amazon's Populace Pacification subsidiary will be using them to deliver napalm on uncooperative citizens in thirty years time.

On holiday, lovely and peaceful, sun dropping over the lake, gentle "plosh" of the odd carp grabbing a fly. Suddenly that noise as a kid a couple of caravans down released one. Up it went with its green and red lights like a couple of evil eyes. You annoying twat I groaned, before as you say wondering how much they are.

I reckon the greasy spoon down the road will be delivering your fried egg sarnies using them soon. Runny egg yolk dripping all down the prom

We've been asking for one at work for ages.  How they expect an inspection of a roof and chimney from ground level, is beyond me.  Doubt we'll get one.

If one came over my garden I'd lob stones at it.

If you get one will you borrow it?

Really need a good look at our roof and chimleys and it's a long way down from up there !!

One of my mates has a roofing company, he bought one last year, it saves him a shit load of time and money when inspecting a job

Another mate has a couple, he bought his most recent one for a couple of grand, and now makes money at weekends fucking about at weddings and fetes taking pictures. His new one, he can just pretty much programme before take off, and then it buggers off and does it's own thing. I think it's got a range of about 2 miles or something ridiculous

LW recently bought one, and is using to get around town now

On a scale of 0-10, with 10 being extremely, how bored are you?

To be honest, it hasn't really hit me yet; the boredom, that is. It's like I'm just on a long annual leave.

I'm working for a couple of Funeral Directors, driving the hearse/limo and carrying the occasional coffin. Nothing too exciting but it buys a few beers at weekends.

Just set a pool table at home and invite your mates round every day, it'll feel just like being back at work.
