I was honestly gutted.

 

The only good bit of news this year was him getting the job.

 

Bolton are shit.

England are shit.

The media are shit.

I'm still amazed that he's been naive enough to be caught out like this. If he ends up losing his job because of it, he'll have nobody to blame but himself. The thing that might hang him is him offering up advice on how to get around 3rd party ownership, which is against FA rules......so basically telling complete strangers how to cheat his paymasters....not very bright really

or for having an opinion on the FA spunking money on Wembley

or for taking a 400k public speaking gig

 

depends on the context of what he was telling them - if they said "how do we get round the rules", and he said "this is how, now pay me", he's in trouble, if he's just saying in general, this is how everyone does it and it's rife - then different kettle of fish - guess the FA will know when they see the full thing, which we're not seeing presumably for dramatic effect

 

bear in mind, when one of them did talk about "illegal" stuff like bungs, he went nowhere near it - so makes me think he knows where the line is
