  • My guess is nothing will come of it now.   The premier league clubs and agents will close ranks and the FA will be weak as piss as usual. They'll appoint a weak as piss manager and we can all carry

  • He's only got himself the blame, the massive nob

  • Those blaming the press probably blame the press for outing paedos and murderers   Allardyce is the only one to blame in all this   The thick greedy bastard

What amazes me about this,

1 People defending BSA because he used to manage us, he was on £3m per year in his dream job and has fucked it up by being a greedy dodgy fucker. Does anyone here think he is not a greedy dodgy fucker ?

2 The FA are meant to run football in this country, everyone knows this stuff goes on but they just turn a blind eye and the problem festers. How they can sack Sam but think they are OK is beyond believe. As mentioned everyone knows Sam is a dodgy fucker, everyone knows agents and managers are making money under the table, the FA have done nothing to tackle the rot. The whole organisation needs to be totally rebuilt and people at the top need to held accountable, not because of Sam but because it happens all over the place. They spent a fortune on the Quest Enquiry ( I think it was called) but that came up with nothing but we all know it goes on. Incompetence and ignorance.

Did the telegraph need to do an investigation to tell us Big Sam would sell his soul to the devil for a fiver? No.

Did the telegraph need to do an investigation to tell us the game is bent and 3rd party ownership rules are tweaked in this country? No.

Is this investigation going to clean our game up and make every manager, agent, player and chairman follow correct procedure from now on? No.

Does Big Sam losing his job benefit English football? No.

It's a fuckin witch hunt to sell papers by gutter journalists.

And big Sam is the biggest fool in all of it for falling for it the dumb fucker.

There's a lot worse going on in our game than some Buffoon spouting bollocks whilst drinking a pint of wine.

I think a lot depends on the rest of the revelations, Sam is the first of many, the second instalment today is nothing.

Been investigating for 10 months, Sam came along part way through, he was not the target as England Manager but got dragged into far too easily.

The key thing is how much of the deeper corruption will be exposed and is there anything or any organisation that can doing about it.

The fact is the owners of clubs now have so much money if any punishment is threatened they respond via their legal teams and they have more money and better lawyers than the FA and Premier League combined.

No decent manager comes without baggage.

The FA knew full well about the baggage with big Sam and so did everyone else. They were choosing to turn a blind eye for the benefit of the football team and maybe fe decent return at tournament. The telegraph didn't want to play along like everyone else.

Next bwfc manager

I hope so, but it won't happen - he's more likely to rock up at Derby County I reckon

I've been thinking about this on the way into the office..................If it was Redknapp who had been caught out like this, we would all be absolutely loving it, it's probably only because it's our former player/manager that we're being so outraged about it

I think a lot depends on the rest of the revelations

Agree with this Ani, the Telegraph have apparently handed everything over to the FA, so they've seen the lot. We've only seen a couple of snippets, it will be interesting to see if everything does come out.

Listening to Allardyce today, he sounds like he's been fucked over a bit by his mate, who clearly didn't vet these people properly

Don't think folk are defending him because he managed us. Its because he's only said what most people believe. Doing a mate a favour and met a few blokes and had a few drinks. Don't see it as greed agreeing in principle to do some extra work- especially given he stated it would have to be approved by his paymasters.

He may or may not be dodgy but they gave him the job knowing his history.

England managers are still people with feelings and beliefs and if you want them to be more like diplomats don't expect them to be good at managing the england team.

I've a lot of time for Matthew Syed and he isn't happy with what's gone on.

A bit of a gobshite he may be but there's no wrongdoing (yet), and with proven man management expertise he should have been slapped on the wrist a left to get on with it.

I imagine the discussion prior to his appointment went something like 'Look Sam we all know about the allegations that were made, nothing was proven so we are prepared to put those to a side, but you know some people will be looking to dig dirt on you so you need to be whiter than white, if you can do that we will back you, but if stories come out again we will have no choice.

Just keep nose clean.'

He was on £3M a year, why get involved for whatever reason ?

I'm not convinced he's that dodgy, with the context that he works in football where everyone is dodgy, to varying degrees.

He's naive. That's not a crime or a sackable offence.

Because his ego says he has to be the centre of attention!

Jesus, and you lot have a pop at scousers for blaming others.

Other than having Southgate as a manager should we care?

I stopped giving a shit about Sam shortly after he stopped giving a shit about us.

My guess is nothing will come of it now.

Bang on.

We had a man in charge who I believe would have got us to at least the semi in 2018. If Southgate only loses one of the next four he will get the job. Him or that little homesick crybaby at Bournemouth.

I'm not convinced he's that dodgy, with the context that he works in football where everyone is dodgy, to varying degrees.

Which is my gripe with the FA, we accept that everyone is dodgy to a degree and the money coming in will make the situation worse.

But they are the governing body and how can they have any credibility if people being dodgy is acceptable.

Of course he is blaming the press,

Lucky escape, crap manager that only you lot like.

Not that anyone cares.

Couldn't disagree more. How can we expect players to take playing for England seriously when their supposed leader obviously is behaving like this?

And it might just be me but how comfortable does Sam look in those clips. That obviously wasn't the first time he's had those discussions

I wonder if Roy Hodgson got paid for when he appeared on TV as a television pundit whilst being a current England manager, I'd bet he did

Should all England managers never be allowed to earn money this way

Granted it won't be £400k but you might as well do 1 seminar for big money abroad than whore yourself out on TV 40 times

The fact that he said he would need to run the seminar past the FA first makes it a non event for me. The third party ownership stuff, potentially but it's still very thin

One of the worst 24 hours I can recall as a BWFC fan, relegations aside.

Miserable loss at Rochdale, realisation that we are in the lower leagues for the foreseeable future and then Big Sam sacked.

Although BS only has himself to blame I am sick of hearing journalists taking the moral high ground. These are the colleagues of people who thought it was Ok to phone tap the parents of Millie Dowler looking for a story after she was murdered, amongst other stories they perceive to be public interest.

Who was it off here who gave the big Sam calls a spade and spade speech in the cemetery pub last night? I'm still laughing now.

Lucky escape, crap manager that only you lot like.

Not that anyone cares.

That's two strikes with no bites. One more and you're out! :-)

Has anyone mentioned the "It's not Entrapment if he's doing something he'd do anyway" lie yet.

Coz not of these in the video look like policemen to me.

That's two strikes with no bites. One more and you're out! :-)

i just thought he were talking about howard kendall

I hope so, but it won't happen - he's more likely to rock up at Derby County I reckon

he will never manage again in England MMW

Mocking the dead now, classy.
