The Courteeners have largely avoided the mainstream, but somehow the artic monkeys have become media darlings

I'm sure I remember you saying that you liked that chair removal song?

Can't see much demand for night 3, songs from 1998 onwards.

Made some great music fromthen on - Songs from Northern Britain is one of their best.

Was supposed to be at DMA’s last night but we sacked it off

Bet it was a cracker

Denys Baptiste in Clitheroe next Saturday afternoon; it’s what Saturday afternoons were made for

Looking forward to some 90s britrock on Friday.

Dodgy, The Wildhearts, Reef and Terrorvision at the Ritz.

Ah The Wildhearts. Great band.

You can take Reef and Terrorvision away though. Awful stuff!

100% agree but the Courteeners are a great shout.

A few years ago it seemed any indy band from Manc were the next big thing . . . in Manc that is :)

Artics did a few good tunes but all sounds a bit the same and I can barely listen to any indy stuff anymore

Quite liked the one Reef album I had - good voice on yon mon.

Always thought they were Yanks but just heard they are a Somerset bunch of yokels - on a local radio t'other day.

Used to hate Dodgy; but you know you're getting middle aged when you find yourself singing along in the car to something you'd not be in the same room as a few years earlier . . . :)

Woah Woah Woah.

Terrorvision are fantastic possibly one of my all time favourites and always fun live.

You're the first person I've met that actively dislikes terrorvision.

Teenage Fanclub doing a 3 night residency at Academy 3 in November

Having a bit of that.

Grand Prix is up there in my all time top 5.

am liking new Blossoms album. very muchly

Noel G this Friday at the Arena.

Cannot say I'm remotely excited or interested in any way, shape or form.

Probably be a good gig if I approach it in this mentality.

wouldn't go out my way to see him at the arena

apollo or some other small venue, aye, but not the arena

Bollocks that means my tram home will be full of the same breed of scally that used to spoil Leeds fest when oasis was in.

Allow me to be the second.

That tequila song was fucking awful

It's the only terrovision song I know

Based on that I'll be third

You're all allowed your opinions even if those opinions are wrong

Heard it this morning

May as well dig out some fucking chameleons tracks

Noel was pretty bland. The gig had its moments. Last time I was at Arena a month ago was for Stereophonics — that was bang on from first minute to last - and they’d not even make it into my top 30 favourite bands on a good day.

Not sure how Noel could ever “wow” an audience.

Wife enjoyed some of it though.

Blossoms were v good this afto. Belting effort for a matinee. Tight set

Not given their new album a spin yet. On my playlist for tomorrow.

A few new Snow Patrol songs doing the rounds on Spotify ahead of the new album. A couple are ok.

And likewise a few new James songs on Spotify. Standard fayre for Booth & co.
