Zico Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 Lana Del Rey being sued by Radiohead, who want 100% royalties for this which they reckon is a rip off of creep it sounds similar in parts, but if they can get 100% royalties for this, Noel Gallager could go broke overnight with most of his back catalogue sounding like something else that said, she's offered 40% so must be feeling guilty, but Radiohead said no chance, they want 100% Quote

mickbrown Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 Can The Hollies sue Radiohead again once they’ve finished with her? https://youtu.be/HydvceA1PAI Just had a google 'Look carefully at the writing credits of Radiohead's 1992 breakout hit and you'll see Albert Hammond and Mike Hazelwood, the writers of Hammond's 1973 ballad "The Air That I Breathe." The pair successfully sued the band for similarities in chord progression and vocal melodies, earning co-writer credit.' Even cheekier bastards - suing for a rip off of a song they been sued for ripping off from somebody else. Quote
Spider Posted January 8, 2018 Author Posted January 8, 2018 It’s a total rip off and why shouldn’t they get the royalties? That’s like me releasing Bohemian Rhapsody and getting the cash. Quote
mickbrown Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 (edited) What about John Lennon's Imagine? Total rip off of Bad New's 'Imogen' the robbing bastard. Edited January 8, 2018 by mickbrown Quote
Northender Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 Anyone who saw the shirehorses live knows there’s a lot of robbing gets in the music biz. Quote

Lana Del Ray's song rips off the entire melody of the choruses from Creep, and Radiohead didn't insitgate the lawsuit. All 3 are great songs. Quote

Dr Faustus Posted February 15, 2018 Posted February 15, 2018 Awesome, two tired junior kids meant I missed most of BFS, but they were good... Aquabats were amazing, first time I've drove to a gig, let alone be sober... Well worth it, proper party. Quote
