Added to my Spotify Mr Zico

Chuck in Black Rebel Motorcycle Club too, though you probably heard of them

Saw them tour their last album at the academy

Alongside Kasabian, Supergrass and Prince as one of the best gigs I've seen there

Don't mind James generally but 'sit down' annoyed the shit out of me back in the day.

I've seen them over 50 times and the song can still cause an argument in the fan groups

They will do

Think a few off here got involved with voting on THE BEST INDIE ALBUM IN THE WORLD on Facebook.

Huge anticlimax. The Cure - Disintegration won out of well over 1000 entries. Beat Joy Division in the final.

Toots is in intensive care with Covid apparently, latest single came out last week and some decent stuff on the new LP.

Disintegration isn't even in the top 3 Cure albums.

I’m not a fan of a lot of American bands

The Doors

Jefferson Airplane

Nirvana

Stooges

Jimi Hendrix

QOTSA

Foo Fighters to a degree

The rest can bite my bollocks

Yeah right.

Velvet Underground/Lou Reed

Ramones.

Just to name a couple off the top of my head.

I think I read pretty much the same on the Facebook group. I wouldn't know myself. Never listened to any of their stuff other than what has been played on the radio.

Get on Guy Gurveys From the Vault on Sky Arts . Some amazing early footage.

Doves new album is a belter, if you're into that sort of thing.

It has been done to death really but this podcast series has shown up on BBC Sounds about rave culture, might be of interest.

A couple of episodes in now actually, its really good and done a bit differently than the usual stuff.

This documentary about the folk singer/guitarist Nic Jones is brilliant. I only discovered him a couple of years ago, and I've never been into Folk Music, but he was fantastic. Had a car crash that ended his career in music just as he was about to get big on the Folk scene. Tragic but beautiful stuff. A living Legend.

reminisicing about a musical era from 25 years ago

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-54238279

then realising at the time, 25 years earlier was the 1970 when it was the Beatles and the Stones

so Oasis, Blur etc to today's 18 year old is what the Beatles and Stones were like to me at 18

fucking hell, that makes me feed old
