He's supposed to be going to Charlton anyway.

Now signed for them, on loan.

FFS. This isn't Behind The Stands. Most folk come on here to read bullshit rumours and conjecture, with the odd bit of accurate stuff thrown in. It's boring as fuck reading your personal squabbles.

  • Sure it's that Mandela effect in full flow here that we all seem to be OK with this. It's a fucking travesty and complete shitshow. He's our most prolific striker by a country mile, has been

We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

ACD came on as a sub v Tromso away in the Europa Conference. Didn't.have much of an impact but then neither did anyone else. 0-0 draw.

Looks like Minteh might be off to Liverpool. They have had a bid rejected, but may go back with a bigger one, I suppose.

Isn't Minteh out for 3 months? Be an odd signing this window.

Another week has slipped by with no real improvement up front.

( I am classing today as Friday because am out all day tomorrow)?

Nah, Dalby & Mcatee are much better than they were this time last week, and Hardie is not actually injured as I was presuming this time last week too

What exactly do you mean by “better” as we haven’t seen them since last week?

This time last week Mcatee was completely useless. Now he's had a good game. Ask me again Saturday night.

I’m not sure everyone would agree on Macca being useless but he did have a terrific game against Nob End but yes, will the same Macca turn up in the capital this weekend is the question? 🤷‍♂️

In that single substitute appearance, Brighton have just cup-tied ACD from all European competitions for this season. This makes his transfer less attractive to dozens of teams who could afford the alleged £10+ million fee wanted by Brighton.

Maybe a loan is still not out of the question?

I thought qualifiers had an exemption now? They do in the Champions League

I think they reset from group games to knockout rounds too

I wonder if we’re showing any interest in young Danny Ormerod at Fylde? Twenty years old, scored 31 in 43 games last season and is in the last year of his current contract. Very quick and likes to run in behind which I thought was the type we were looking for. Posh and Rotherham two of the clubs interested by all accounts and we know how good Posh have been at unearthing young talent in the past. Probably a fraction of what we’d be paying for Kenny or Dean and maybe one to be developed alongside young Ritchie?

No relation to Brett by the way..

I've seen him play.. He's very sharp, but he can be easily knocked about in physical games. I think he's had a few suitors but all have put off by Fylde's asking price. They're owned by a pretty wealthy benefactor

I doubt he'd be joining a team in Europe anyway

why, are the red hand gang out already?

and, would his european suitors not be in european competition?

because I think he'll stay in England

I haven’t seen Ormerod but I have seen Ritchie. They both need development obviously but for me if you’re good enough you’re old enough. I wouldn’t have a problem with Ritchie staying here and pushing for a first team place but obviously if we get the likes of Kenny or Dean then he’s not going to play and would be better loaned where he can get first team football, or would you disagree?

It only takes one or two injuries to change that dynamic. At one point last season, we had no right winger and no left centre back, but our young right winger and young left centre back were both out on loan.

Given the levels they've been operating at, and will be again this season, I doubt either Warren or Inwood would've played regardless of circumstance.

I maintain Warren would have given us more than Apter, and Inwood more than Taylor.

Spot on. Got to have faith in our youngsters at some point.

Ritchie as back up for McAtee on a 9 man bench would be absolutely fine by me. Doesn't necessarily mean he has to play as we'd have Hardie as a different type of option, but gets him some experience if the situation suits.

Tutu signed for Millwall.

Great move for him and if he can stay fit will be a steal for the Lions.
