FFS. This isn't Behind The Stands. Most folk come on here to read bullshit rumours and conjecture, with the odd bit of accurate stuff thrown in. It's boring as fuck reading your personal squabbles.

  • Sure it's that Mandela effect in full flow here that we all seem to be OK with this. It's a fucking travesty and complete shitshow. He's our most prolific striker by a country mile, has been

We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

Would defo have to be 7 figures but think he only has 18 months left on contract doesn’t he?

Not sure how long he has left, it would be a sideways move for him, obviously money talks and if it suits us and them he will be on his way.

It was maybe a sideways move a decade ago but not anymore. They have incredible facilities, one of the wealthiest domestic owners in the country and in the championship. I'm sure they would be doubling or trebling his wages - as you say money talks.

I think 2 will come in today, but a couple might go.

With such wealth, I can’t work out why they are down the bottom end of the Championship.

They do not strike me as a club on the up despite the wealth of the owners, it is possible we replace them in the championship next year, that is why I said a sideways move for his career, definitely would offer him much larger salary.

Badly run, FFP must be an issue.

Agree. It’s mental how our fans view stuff at times. Aren’t our facilities portacabins?

If we're still in League one come the end of the season and they still want him he'll probably go

£1m would be nice

If stoke go down and we go up, which is possible, isnt that a sideways step for his career?

Yes, but technically a backwards move for him.

Just look at Everton - without a decent infrastructure you can spend half a billion and still have nothing to show for it.

Our facilities at Lostock are pretty decent compared to others at this level - but nothing compared to what we had under Big Sam with the cryo chambers etc. I can imagine that further down the line we will be looking at developing Lostock properly or if planning is an issue maybe finding another training base again.

I must be missing something as they are 4 points clear of the drop at the moment

So its not possible they can get relegated then... O.K.

Only 2 billion in the bank... poor bastards

Thats bet 365 not Stoke, if they ever pull out then big problems.

When Peter Goes they’ll go the same way as us. His daughter doesn’t give a toss about the club and the funding will stop. They’ve still got a good few on 35k+ a week

ironically a lot of their fanbase want Peter gone. They’ve no idea..

You could argue that about nearly any club and it obviously it happened to us with Eddie, Wigan with Whelan.

Most owners drop out when they have to prioritise funding their other businesses or just run out of money. She makes £400m a year salary and is worth £12 billion... they are losing £26m a year. Drop in the ocean. Yes they could definitely be run better financially because £26m losses in the grand scheme of things is not sustainable but not sure she has a reason to back out. You never know though in football.

They lost over 50 million the year before, they bought the stadium for 33 million from themselves to avoid FFP Bet 365 wont fund these losses indefinitely.

She'd have to be pretty cold to destroy the local community and her father's legacy like that. But I suppose you don't get to £12bn net worth without having to make tough decisions and upsetting a few people on the way.

well are we getting promoted?

She's already made plenty on the back of the community, and countless others like it.

It may actually suit her business case overall to gently fund a reasonable level of seasonal loss.
