FFS. This isn't Behind The Stands. Most folk come on here to read bullshit rumours and conjecture, with the odd bit of accurate stuff thrown in. It's boring as fuck reading your personal squabbles.

  • Sure it's that Mandela effect in full flow here that we all seem to be OK with this. It's a fucking travesty and complete shitshow. He's our most prolific striker by a country mile, has been

We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

From my experience Celtic fans make United fans look like Mensa candidates. Share about half a dozen brain cells between the lot of em.

The other 6 of the dozen reside in the blue half of the city.

Queens Park only have about 12 fans so don't count.

Let’s not get silly now😂

And as always the truth lies somewhere in the middle.

Football fans do love an extreme.

FWIW, I like him and hope we get him.

But all this building him up to be the next Andy Walker (more elsewhere than on here) and some kind of saviour is setting him up for a massive fail.

He’ll have less space, less chances up against better defenders and score less goals.

Then we’ll have to deal with “Kenny’s not as good as he was last season and he’s failed to live up to his potential”

Would not disagree but I would like us to sign him. At his age he has potential to improve from a promising current ability level. The most important thing though is that he seems to perfectly suit the way SS wants to play. That type of thing seems to count in modern football more than in any other era.

I'd very much like us to sign him, but he's OK, nothing more than that really - as mentioned above, he does seem to be being built up to be the man who will save us

Celtic fans think they are signing players to help them win the champions league *

We think we’re signing players to help us stay in League 1 so there will be difference in expectation.

(* beating Rangers twice and then some random Scandinavians in Champions League qualifying is more realistic)

Agreed. If Mason Burstow was recalled by Hull after he scored 7 in 10, or got injured, he would be the player everyone is begging for us to sign now.

SS & Fergal like Kenny, they've liked him for a long time and if anything they seem to like him more after working with him. That's very promising and I'd like to see it happen - especially on a permanent deal where our faith in him could pay off considerably. But his ability (less so on here) is being inflated out of all proportion.

We know what we're getting with Kenny and have seen his ability first hand (same with ACD), other players are an unknown which is why the clamour to sign him is higher than you'd expect normally.

There MAY be better players available but Kenny is both available and a known quantity. And given our lack of forwards is clearly a position of need.

Don’t exaggerate, surely less than half a dozen? 🤷‍♂️

Kenny looked good in league 1.can he cut it in the championship, who knows. But id rather have him than some journey man.For me he gives us something we are currently missing, pace and a bit of a nasty streak

of the loan players from last year, Kenny is the one I'd most like to see back

I agree and I would think that we cannot afford anyone of a better standing .

Well if he’s still injured I suppose there’s no rush to complete any deal but Schuey must surely be disappointed and frustrated not to have had a few more in before our final pre season tomorrow? It should be a bigger test than Fleetwood was but less I’d have thought than Everton so it will be interesting to see what team he picks and how those players get on.

He is not....Been in full training for over a week

Needs games, wont get them at Celtic

Surely we get someone across the line today......We like a 5pm Friday signing!!!

I suppose it works the other way too, we know their weaknesses as well as strengths. The same applies to GJ, Tutu, Dempsey and Cissoko (on loan), we decided to replace them with players we don't know (eg Famewo, the two Scots, Dong). We can't say after the friendlies that any of them look like an upgrade so far, that's not judging them, but its not like any of us are saying "wow, big improvement there" unlike a year ago when we could see straight away Burstow was better than Vic, Simons looked miles better than Morley/Lolos and our new wingers miles better than Schon etc. As you say we know Kenny's level, we could hope for better given the opposition but we could also end up with worse.

I'll just have to jinx Kenny again by saying he can't finish, as I did after his first couple of games. He scored later on in that game and went on to score 5 more.

Good news, thanks for that I thought he was still missing injured. Gerrit dun then.

Another Friday 5PM just slips by.

Panic sets in, every Friday.

If we're looking to sign Kenny, wonder how much he's likely to cost? I was thinking around 1.5 million, might be miles off though!
