March 14, 20179 yr I've only found out recently that a lot of Wigan fans do not support both the footy and rugby teams, it's just one or the other. A girl from Wigan told me (and this has been backed up by another pie eater I know) that Latics fans will often sing anti Wigan Warriors songs and cheer for St Helens? WTF how backward are these people.
March 14, 20179 yr Not many of the football lot support the rugby, the rugby lot dont hate the football as much. Suppose thats what happens when rugby is the number one sport in your town

March 17, 20179 yr I know a few Wigan rugby fans who support the whites , don't know any that support the Latics. Used to work with Latics fan & he hated the rugby team. Cant see them staying up although the dingles will probably escape which is a bigger tragedy
March 17, 20179 yr Part of me hopes they both stay up, I've missed proper Derby's this season. Couldn't really muster any rivalry for Dale and Oldham and Bury was good for a laugh but t'rovers and Wiggin games have a bit of fire about them. The rest of me wants them both to go down and stay down.

March 18, 20179 yr Author Brizzle hammered Huddersfield last night and are pulling away. Looks like Forest are now well and truly in the scap. Big games for both Wigan (Villa) and Blackburn (Preston) today with Preston just 6 points off the last play off place with a game in hand on Wednesday who lost last night and have gone off the boil. Perm any two from seven up to 17th place Brum.
